44 years old and STILL the UFC Heavyweight Champion! Defeating Gabriel Gonzaga by TKO in the 3rd round! Randy "The Natural" Couture is my HERO!
George "Rush" St. Pierre dominated Josh Koshcheck and won by unanimous decision! He's on the road to redemption.

I love the UFC, but I don't buy the PPV because they can be over so quick. I heard Brock Lesnar may sign with the UFC, Was he at the PPV? If he is on the card I MIGHT get a PPV to watch him.
What do you think of Kurt Angle doing MMA? Thanks, Big Jeff |

I think every time a wrestler tries to convert it never works out.
Same with Ken Shamrock going to the WWF, didn't work.

I think it is hard for an MMA guy NOT to hit hard and I think after awhile it is hard for a pro wrestler TO hit with full force. I think with 6-12 months hard training Brock Lesnar could do well.

Well they can't be over too quick, they always have fights that they don't air, if a majority of the fights are 1 rounders they also air the others.

For the record, I don't think Randy winning is a "spoiler" in my book. At almost any age. Although he is pushing the envelope some.

Danny,
Who was the toughest wrestler you knew when you worked for the WWE? |

BUT that being said, these men are double tough. The pansiest one of them is 100x tougher than me. No doubt. I remember one time working out with them, just to see. Heck it was fake after all and at the time I was a cop, and yada yada yada. Well I was waiting for the "fake" stuff to start! WOW did it hurt. Just falling on the mat hurt when done wrong. Fortunatly I had a black belt in Judo so falling was second nature, but wow these guys are incredible. Even the ones you don't see on TV are double tough. No doubt. As for how well they would do in a UFC ring is questionable. MOST of the UFC guys train for fighting, technically these guys train NOT to hurt people. Not an easy transition. As for "Toughest" HMMMMm...... Stan "The Larriot" Hansen. Big old school tough guy. Saw him finish a match with a broken wrist. "Buzz" Sawyer also did the same thing. If your ever in the Florida Keys, Kevin Sullivan, owns a gym in Islamirada. GREAT place and some great stories! Something Kevin said one time which was interesting to me. "You can't fake gravity".

UFC? I take it that is that fighting in the octogon stuff? I've seen commercials. When I was in the service we use to toss $20.00 into a pool and beat the stuffing out of each other behind the bar in Jacksonville, Fl. and the winner won the money. Most of us would pretend to be out before any swings were made then we would watch the hard core guys beat each other....then we would convince the winner to buy drinks all night. Good times.

I remeber Buzz Sawyer and Stan Hansen and you could just tell they were tough. When I posted the question I was thinking of some of the tough guys who I don't think I ever saw wrestle each other on TV. Like Kevin Sullivan and Greg Valentine.
I know a guy who wrestled and he broke his leg catching a guy jumping off a balcony, he had 1 match after that to get 'revenge' on the guy. |

I admit I have never heard of this Kevin Sullivan (the only Kevin Sullivan I know is my cousin and he didn't wrestle) so I looked him up. I found a site and it seems this fellow killed Chris Benoit and his family because he hates the bible and has a lust, or had, for revenge. This is a major secret I'm guessing because he hasn't been arrested yet and I'm not going to rat him because then he'll come after me. If you do a search you too can find the information on this murderous Satanic lust for revenge type of dude.

Sullivan looks like the kind of guy who would start a bar fight because he is bored. He was always one of my favorite wrestlers.
I just saw on wrestleview.com that Hulk Hogans son Nick was involved in a serious car accident in clearwater FL. |

The most entertaining fight was between Roger Huerta and Alberto Crane. Huerta won, but Crane had great defense, he just had no offense. But the funny thing was Crane was holding Huerta from the back, trying to hide, get a breath or two, but Huerta looked up at the big screen to see which side Crane's head was on and started landing elbows.
I would have loved to have seen the matches between Renato "Babalu" Sobral vs. David Heath, and Frank Mir vs. Antoni Hardonk, but they were not aired. Sobral and Mir won.

Turns out Couture broke the ulna of his left arm blocking a head kick from Gonzaga in the 3rd round. It is described as a clean fracture or "nightstick fracture". Apparently it doesn't even need a cast, just a splint. And Randy didn't even know it broke during the match heh.
