We Use a simple technique that works for us Our meetying room is at the end of a hallway. we put a registration table there and check people in. Those who are not members are invited to join and we track them. If they do not seek membership then we Politley ask the to notcome back untill they have completed teh membership process. our TVP is a regular at our meetings. We know the few who try to thwart the system. Usually the reminder is all it takes to get the right dues in. BTW our Dues are still Just $15 at the local level.

For the first two years (2006-2007), we set our local dues at $5. We thought that $5 might be the amount of money that people would figure wasn't worth fighting over. We were wrong. There is no such amount. Of course, this is Maine.
