Hi guys:
Is there any thread about these metal hinged balls I got some time ago...? Any good routine for them? Any source for a routine or moves...? Thanks, Rossini |

The multiplying billiard ball routine is in many books, or Tim Wright's Multiplying Balls DVD is a great source:

Shat kind of set do you have?
A set of solid silicone balls cut and hinged was made and sold by Steve Dusheck back in the day. They came with an outline of a routine. The set came with the gimmicked ball, a couple of solid same color balls of the same size, a contrasting color ball of the same size for a color change, and a mini ball of the first color to do a shrinking ball bit. Then there are several other sets that were marketed including one that actually nested and hinged open. I think Finn Jon sold a set of hinged balls under his name. There are others. You might as well play with them and develop a unique routine for the specific prop that you have.
The artist formally known as Mumblepeas!

The balls I have are a set of 4 metal balls, all hinged, and can be nested as one. They are beautiful, but they came without instructions or suggestions.
May be the ones Harry Murphy mentioned... Are they? |

This hinged set is usually used as an addition to the 4 balls routine. You produce 'that' ball and then proceed to multiply it to 4 more balls - giving you a total of 8 balls.

The techniques cannot be discussed in an open forum, rossini. Let's discuss it over PMs.

They are called 'Nest-O-Balls'. Brett Daniels used a set in his dove act years back, he may still use it.
The best use for this set is the flash four production, one to four balls. It blows audiences away, and gets good applause. |

I agree with you, Bill. It is a good lead-in to a flash finale for the multiplying balls.
Brett Daniels is not using it anymore. He is using a totally different thing for his billiard balls routine now. |

I haven't seen it but here's an idea ...
You appear a silk and from the silk appear this ball. Then cover the ball with the silk and it becomes 4 balls and you can still produce a dove from the silk. This is just an idea how manipulation can be incorporated in a dove act. |
