Wow.. Unbeleiveable...
I first saw The Veil being messed around with at the Be Amazing Magic Shop In Columbus OH. Carroll and Justin were in there doing these tricks with the Veil and they began to do more and I was down right floored. Seeing as how there both good friends they did some stuff with me and I have to say it is amazing. I got my veil went home and began immediatly playing around with different ideas along with the ideas Carroll gives in the book that comes with it. My father who is a huge skeptic of magic was utterly in shock when I vanished a 50 cent peice and has been raving about it Ever Since. If you are a working magician then this is a must the possibilities are endless with this and to quote someone, for the price this is tooo good not to have! its a must I use it constantly... GREAT WORK CARROLL, this truly is MAGIC! |

I am glad you love it! The red was a custom fabric and wasn't sure how it would turn out. it looked great but showed dirt faster than the dark colors. If I find another red that works well, I might make more red.

I love this!!
The rubberband is perfect misdirection. They never know what happened! I think Marc Frese means when you first see it, you think it is another well known prop. After you play with it once or twice and use it for people, you know it's a keeper. Great idea Carroll. James

Thanks James! This is by far one of the best motivated effects that I do. I love that it can be used for many different applications. I have sat on this for about 15 years and am glad that I get to contribute to the magic community.

I used The Veil with Nest Of Boxes the other day. They are so perfect for each other!

I have a limited run of the Veil in a custom Color. I only have about 10. the color is a reddish brown (copper) with a sleight pattern. I am really happy with this fabric but could only find a small amount of it.

Not sure. They did not sell well in that color but let me know and I can see what material I can find for you in purple.

Here's something that I noticed, that may be a heads-up to others:
After the spekkie has lifted the coin, thru the cloth, they can hold out their other hand flat. You position the cloth over their hand and they can 'drop the coin' (and cloth) onto their palm. They feel it there, and can again pick it up for the rubberband part. It feels real, and does NOT feel like it is cloth-covered. Just an added convincer and time-buyer to separate the git-away from the vanish.
We dance an invisible dance to music they cannot hear.

Talking with Tony Miller and he reminded me of an effect that I used to do with a coin thru ring using the "coin in bottle" gimmick . you can pre-load the veil and and have the coin signed by the spectator, laying the signed coin in the appropriate spot, borrow a ring and turn the veil over to let the helper thread the 4 corners thru the ring, locking the ring around the coin... finish the effect in the normal fashion and reproduce the coin in a spectacular magical conclusion.... any will work here!
Thanks Tony for reminding me ..
