I've been getting emails and PMs about the new Instant Turkey...thanks! It was originally ordered by a magician who has created his own custom production box.
For your uses, I'm trying to come up with a comprehensive list of production boxes , pans, etc. that it could be produced out of. Any ideas? Especially with a holiday theme. This is a great item to produce the Holiday Turkey at an event like Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. The uncompressed size is 16" long x 12" wide x 7" tall. It can compress down to 1.5" pretty darn flat. Let me know what magical apparatus devices it could fit....and any other ideas! Thanks. More info at http://www.axtell.com/instantturkey.html Ax

There's a Santa's Chimney production box out there:
http://www.magiclegends.com/product1871.html I don't know how big it is, though. It should be easy enough to make up a Square Circle with either a fireplace or a rotisserie oven motif; what if you put in a small rubber chicken, and magically cooked it into a full size turkey? It would fit into a small briefcase; off the top of my head, I don't know where it goes from here, but picture a man, impeccably dressed in a three-piece suit, sitting down at a desk, opening his briefcase, and taking out a roast turkey. To me, at least, that sounds really, really funny. ETA: Perhaps in the context of an act where the magic happens TO the main character, even though he doesn't want it to. Second edit: The Drawing Board (I just got one used, and man do I love it), especially with the Art Lesson CD, would play right into that kind of act. |

Sounds like a finale to the "rice bowls" routine I suggested to Harris the other day. 2 Small Webber BarBQs, Briquettes that multiply, and then a finale of the turkey (or two).
I might get basted for posting this. - Donald

Also, try the Kevin James Bowling Ball production using a frozen turkey.
The audience will really gobble that one up. |

It seems to me that the big oven prop that Jim Gerrish built for use with his birthday cake ending for his Ungimmicked Egg Bag routine (on my site) could be used to first produce the cooked sponge rubber turkey, followed immediately by the Axtell "Crazy Turkey" who berates the cook for killing one of his best friends and wants to hold a "wake" for the deceased bird, etc. Could be very funny in a morbid sort of way, but not for kids. It would make a good act for a comedy club.

I have email from my friend. He says it's $99.00 American for this?
I think that is overpriced, unless I hear there is a Gucci tag attached... |

I think a $10 rubber turkey is a better production. Would get a much better laugh than this one. You can't really tell what it is at first. Sorry to be honest.

While I salute creativity the idea of a cooked chicken or turkey puppet around children is very disturbing to me. Maybe others can get away with it but I just couldn't cross that line. Good luck with the new items though, luckily my opinion only works for me.

Good point. "Fred the Fried Chicken" is not for everyone and not for young kids. It's more edgy in it's comedy. More for Jr. High, High School, Adult shows.
The Instant Turkey production item however, can be used with all children.... except, I suppose... vegetarians. http://www.axtell.com/instantturkey.html Ax

I do like that instant turkey with the pizza box. You can get kids reved up about Thanksgiving being in the box and they know it is pizza and the production of the turkey would be very funny to them.

That's actually a great idea MagicSanta.... You could tell your audience that because you are such a busy performer, you went to WalMart and bout this new thing you saw on TV.... "Thanksgiving in a Box" - you could use a square circle or something to produce a long list of themed items.... (pilgrim hat, foam musket, map, foam Indian corn, and finally....a fully cooked Thanksgiving Turkey!)
Or..."Christmas in a Box".... (stocking, big foam candy cane, santa hat, toys, and finally the Christmas Turkey!)

That's okay, we do make expensive products...Axtell only makes top quality props....no cheap $10 rubber chickens....many performers consider Axtell Expressions to be the Gucci of latex.
The original customer we made this for, paid a LOT more to get the first one of it's kind....We are now making it available to you for $100. It seems to be filling a need with those magicians looking for something new for the holidays. If you don't see the quality difference, it's probably because the photos and video do not do it justice. My problem, not yours. Thanks for all the comments. You guys rock! Ax

Looks like the finale of a hilarious Christmas cooking routine to me. Are there no dove pans big enough to hold this item?
I want one for my Christmas Show this year, $100 sounds like chicken feed to me! Just need to know where it's going to appear from..... |

I think you are blunt, and opinionated, which in the big scheme of things is not such a bad thing. Those who are too easily offended make the rest of us feel like we are walking on egg shells. I don't think Steve is offended by an honest question.
