Some really good advice. I am getting into magic after a very long time away. I wish I had this list when I got into it back in the 70's when I started. I never did much card or coing stuff. I did have, and have repurchased, the Mark Wilson book. Great stuff for begginers as well as old timers. The Royal Road is one that I am going to pick up next time I am out. The Sponge Balls I just bought. I have rope...wow it is funny how all of this stuff is just falling into place. Thanks for the original post and for the updated one. Gets me going again.

To answer your question, Yekrats, YES! The fifty cent piece is still being made and are in circulation. A trip to a local bank or three might turn some up.

I had no idea. I went to the bank, and I "bought" a roll of 20 for the bargain price of $10! Thanks for your help! Smile

Other books I would add:

Showmanship for Magicians by Fitzkee is another seminal work that every magician who plans on performing should read over and over.
