I just received the Dove Frame production and there are no instructions on how to properly clean it. This is a fantastic illusion and well made and I really want to add it as part of the show.
The first time I loaded the doves, they made a mess on the special area and when I tried to clean it, it got messed up looking stretched out and wrinkly. If this happens again it may get worse looking and no longer usable. Without exposing the secret, is there a gentle way to clean it without ruining the part the audience sees? Or does anyone know who the maker is if I may contact them for help? Thanks, Mike

You might want to put some repellent spray on that one part. The kind you would get from the shoe area to spray on your shoes to keep them from getting wet. It can help protect it from the poop.
Another idea is not to try and clean it when it is wet. Wait until it dries from the birds poop. Maybe use a marker or paint to put over the stains of the poop. My last idea is not to feed that bird a few hours before perfoming that trick. Good luck. PS. Are you talking about: http://aleena.com/tilford/video/flashDoveFrame.html |

I like that. That was my first time watching it on video. I had to replay it again and again. I even had to use "pause." Do any of my ideas work, Mike?

I will look for the repellent. My birds make a mess even if you don't feed them for 24 hours. Waiting until it dries still leaves a very visible stain on the material.

The best time to use the marker or paint is when it dries.
I like Rich Marotta's method of using it. I will be giving you more info soon. |
