Greetings,
I was wondering if there was anywhere that the Ammar Cups and Balls routine is explained? I have found that there is a performance only version on "Ammar Live," but I was wondering if it is explained on any vhs or dvd. Thanks in advance for your time!! All the best, ~Ron |

Doesn't Ammar do Vernons routine? That being said it is all over the place. It is in The Magic of Michael Ammar, I believe it is in Michael Ammar at the Magic Castle Lecture. Then there is the books, the videos for the books, etc..

No. Although Ammar has dissected the Vernon routine, he performs his own routine which has some interesting bits of business in it. This routine is published in The Magic of Michael Ammar and The Complete Cups and Balls.

Although he doesn't teach his routine on The Complete Cups and Balls outright, he does teach all of the moves. So if you have a copy of some other video with the routine on it, you can get the details on how to perform the moves from The Complete Cups and Balls (as well as lots of other useful moves). He does teach the opener to his routine, but not the entire routine.
That sounds like the way to go to me. Bill |

Go for the book The Magic of Michael Ammar. It has a lot of excellent material besided the cups and balls in it.

I can say this about the routine as presented in The Magic of Michael Ammar. He made some changes in it recently.
He decided that his quest to perform the routine without a jacket while standing was, to a certain degree, a fool's errand. If you have the book, you will remember that this was one of the criteria. Eventually, he realized that the way he had done special things to his pants made them look rather odd from the back. So he reduced the size of the final loads to enable him to take a different approach. That's all I can say in an open forum.
