It is really hard to do mentalism for younger poeple. There attention span are short and I think its going to be hard, not imposible. One idea would be affects with the swami, that could be a winner with the younger people.

Hi Rick, I have to agree with Robinson the Swami idea seems to be a good idea. I have tried the 1069 effect with kids and that works okay.(However, I would suggest using a small chalkboard and do the math where all can see)If you don't know this one just pc me and I'll run through the routine with you. Lastly here's a joke regarding the Red Cross...What do you call a Red Cross ship?
....... A Blood Vessel. (Umm I admit kinda corny but will let you tell at least one joke that suits the venue) |

HI,
First what age are the children likely to be? If 11+ then it's not so hard but mentalism for under 11 is a bit more tricky. are you doing a full show (30 mins +) if so I hope you plan on making it funny. I use quite a few Mentalism/mental magic type effects in my kids shows but not a complete act. Phillip |

Second. Phillip I think the ages are going to be about 12 and up and the act has to be about fifteen min. long. ps. lol like the joke. Thanks,Rick... |

Hello Rick. I often will use Sam Smith's DeJa Zoo for a visual form of mentalism in my childrens act. It also plays well for adults as well and will usually play for about 10 minutes with the interaction. You need to select two animals so you can have a child and adult select the choices. Hope this helps.

I use Deja Zoo, and I like it too, but I only get about 5 minutes out of it. You can also tell animal jokes while you are showing the animal cards.
