I am looking for the silver material that you scratch off lottery scratchcards... I am having real trouble finding a google hit...

I can tell you it's latex based and the silver appearance is part of the technology that makes the coating opaque.

If you're just trying to emulate the appearance of the material (as opposed to actually trying to duplicate lottery tickets, I have some ideas for faking it. Not really interested in helping you commit lottery fraud, however. So, do tell... what's your purpose?

Silvertongue,

I don't know if this will help or not as I don't know where you are going with your routine, but there is a company making 'fake' lottery tickets for novelty purposes. They are all 'winners' and look very real.

I guess the idea is to give them to a friend, or someone who you don't want to be friends with anymore, on a special day and enjoy the reaction when they realize the ticket is fake and they really didn't win $10,000.

Here's a link to a company that has them:

Good luck!

Here are a couple of websites with some information:

The sticker idea, however, sounds like just what you are looking for.

If all else fails, starting with rubber cement, mix in dry tempra paint until you get the color you want. YES! It will stain! Be careful.

PS --- Clown makeup may also work in the rubber cement.

You might try this stuff, it's a silicon rubber product meant to repair rubber membrane button pads in telephone dial pads and the like.

As shown above you can purchase scratch-off labels. You can also have custom scratch-off's printed for you. I have purchased the labels here: http://www.thecraftypc.com/scoffla6.html

these are 8.5 x 11 sheets in either gold of silver. Just cut it to your shape, peel and stick.
