Hello,
Can any Houdini experts give me any information regarding the Houdini coin. It was allegedly apported during a seance in the UK earlier this month. http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/3327/screenhunter113xj8.jpg For anyone interested, a report of the seance can be found here: http://www.silvercordcircle.com/newslett......date.pdf Thanks. I have one of these Houdini coins that I got around 1989-1990. Came with a little pair of handcuffs.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for that. Was there another version of this coin, made a lot earlier? Or was there only ONE coin produced with that specific cast? If there was only one release year of this coin, does anyone know the approximate year? Many thanks. R |

These are sold by a magic dealer in the US, and have been for years. I think it's Bob Little. I have a few of them

I remember owning one of these years ago, back I think in the 80's. I have just managed to track down a store in the UK who sells them at a good price £2.50p
http://www.cards4magic.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Coins.html I must pick some up. I used to use mine in a Houdini coin escape and it worked really well and generated interest as the coin itself seemed so unusual to people. Cheers Phil |

That sounds interesting. I might have to take a look for some of these.

If you'd like one, let me know, I believe I still have mine. Gold-tone (don't know if it's plated or what) coin with little handcuffs. MIGHT also have the one with the head of Houdini cut out. I'll have to look in my coin Roly-Kit and see.

Thank you for the offer, Steve- appreciated. I've been looking around a little online, not finding much.
Posted: Jun 14, 2011 11:12pm Well, I did find one of the coins mentioned above here: http://www.daytonamagic.com/products/HOUDINI-COIN.html and a variety of handcuff charms can be found on ebay so one could put something together that way... This caught my eye a couple of weeks or so ago: http://www.fantasmamagic.com/shopping/pr......6&cat=15 I'm considering it again now. Laurie |

This is actually timely information that I was looking for. I don't need a ton but I need more than a few. Does Bob sell them with the cuffs or was that someone else who made that package. Little cuffs would be cool too.

The package with the head cut out, and the tiny cuffs was supplied by El Duco of Sweden. Sadly, the guy I always used to see on the convention stands has died. You might be able to get it if you serach for El Duco Magic.
I use the set in a slightly different way based on an effect by Roy Johnson of the UK. |
