This is a very slick routine with a very strong ending performed by the famous Fred Kaps, Holland:

Thanks for confirming it. I just won a friendly bet with a friend....I was so sure that was Bro. Hammann. What a treat it is to watch Fred. My good friend and mentor Paul Potassy has only great things to say about Fred. Paul, incidentally, lives in Manila.

Great to see you back in action, Pete. Too bad I missed meeting you at Dean's. I'm leaving tomorrow...perhaps, next time soon.

FRED KAPS! FRED KAPS! FRED KAPS! He is the best!

Excellent Video!

And as an FYI--I believe there is a variation based on this routine in the book Unexplainable Acts by Gary Kurtz.

What routine would that be?

I hate to be a dissenter...but it just looked to me like he was hiding coins in his hands all the while, and then he kinda proved it at the end.

That is where my mentor got his routine from. Really nice, but I second rutabaga's comment.

I wish the first video was a little more clear, but it was still a great routine. Toggo, is that routine for sale anywhere?

After some further investigation (like checking the book before writing the post), I was thinking of the the effect "Four Fisted" by Kurtz being similar to the above quoted Kaps routine. While the Kurtz routine has copper and silver and gold coins in it, it is presented as a double copper/silver transpo in the spectator's hands with the gold coins as a kicker ending. Not quite as similar I first thought to the Kaps routine, albeit a nice routine in its own right. My apologies for the misquote.

Garret Thomas has a version of this effect on the second volume of his Inside the Mind of Garret Thomas DVDs. Great routine.
