Thanks for the post, I just love watching him. The dancing cork routine of his is one of my favourite close up effects.

There was a reason he won 3 FISM competitions. He was a master and his work is worthy of study.

Fred Kaps has always been my favorite manipulative performer, (that I've seen on film). He has beautiful timing and a subtle, naïve something in his approach that is both disarming and artistically beautiful.

He doesn't perform routines, he seems to live them. He has grace, charm and everything about him oozes a magical gentleman.

Many of his written descriptions, in my opinion, are as close to perfect gems as there are in magic.

Unlike with most performers, I find myself not even trying to figure out how he is doing things, I'm so enchanted by the ambiance he extrudes.

Great, great magician- I wish there was more video-film of him in existence than there is.

Hare, You are right on. My understanding is he was quite a perfectionist dedicating MANY hours of practice; seems to me he worried quite a bit to make things perfect. An amazing performer. Classy, amiable and so smooth. He and Tommy Wonder seem to share similar traits.
