NBC has a new Reality series starting this Wednesday evening at 8 pm. Ten wannabe mentalists compete for $250,000. In the opener, four contestants demonstrate their talents. Criss Angel and Uri Geller serve as mentors.
I will be checking this out. |

I am having a watching party for the show. One of the local guys from our area is on the show, so a bunch of guys from our club are coming over...How far is Quincy, PA from Reading, PA? I might be worth the drive Mr. Mike.

So far it looks like Angel is going to tell it like it is while Geller is going to stick to same old crap. For once, I kind of like Angel.

Angel's self-aggrandizing puffery and semi-expository comments betray his own agenda. He makes a poor Simon, but Geller makes a great Paula.

I don't think Angel or Geller said what they think and the entire show was scripted and rehearse.I thought the show was boring and won't last.

Personally, I think if Jim had done with that trap what he wanted to do with it after Angel's comments, the ratings would have gone through the roof!

OR if Jim had just done a better routine.

That would have been a great routine.

Isn't this like america got talent you have to do better than the week prior? So maybe they are keeping there better stuff near the end. Remember Kevin James did his best stuff first. |

I watched, and found it hard to believe that out of the alleged 100's that auditioned, the 4 or 5 that were on last night were at the top of the list. During the intro both Angel and Geller stated they were looking for something they had never seen before. I didn't see anything original or new. A couple of the presentations were good (phone book and nail guns) but nothing really new.
Just my $.02. |

Gotta agree with Dan D this was a very weak 1ST show and Geller was pitiful where Angel was (surprisingly) direct and on the money- let's face it 1 good act was Raven's take on Becker's Russian Roulette but the rest were a complete snooze- be very surprised if this last- stay amazing, Mystero

I watched for about five minutes and then got bored. The wife was begging me to change the channel. Most reality shows are bad but this one was very bad. If it lasts I may tune in again in a few weeks to see where they have gone with the show. But I bet it fails before then.

What happened to Criss putting Geller in his place like he told Randi he would do? He said that if anyone claimed real powers like some are doing on the show, then he'd expose them on the spot.
