Dear friends,
I just wanted to announce that I have just received my first shipment of The Dark Waltz in hard copy. I am offering them for the first time at the Magic and Meaning conference in Las Vegas this week. As soon as I return, I will post ordering info. The book is identical to the ebook (with the exception of a couple of edits). It is 8 1/2" by 11", soft bound. I am currently offering it for $35.00. I want to thank those of you who have supported this project. You have made this printing possible.
Beware of this and that.

Great, I really liked the ebook but it is so much nicer to read a real book

Let us know. I will surely pick up a copy. Still enjoying the Chart you made for me earlier this year.

I would certainly like a hard copy. I loved the Dark Waltz. My only complaint was that it was only an ebook, so you've just solved that problem. I'm not a huge fan of ebooks.

NOW you tell us!
GGGgggggrrrrrrrr… I really hate E-books that you have to download and print out yourself. BUT to have your marvelous work, and the benefit of your dark imagination, I did just that, I actually got an E-book! NOW you tell us it can be had, not only in print as god intended, but in a hardbound version as it deserves! Well, I hope you find a way to level your Karma after this Mr. F. So, where do we send our checks for personal copies and holiday gift giving???? Magically, Walt |

I am working on a way to make this good for everyone who purchased the e-version (big discount I think). Thank you all. I am off to Vegas.

I purchased the ebook and was extremely pleased with it...Then, a friend of mine, Lily of the Valley Carnie, printed it out for me, and bound it in black leather, with a pentagram on the cover, and she stained the pages so it looks old and weathered...It is now a work of beauty.
I don't think she comes here any more, but again, thanks Lily, now I just have to find a way to work it into an effect it looks so good! Scott

"Latex Hounds From Hell" always kills 'em.......It leaves both kids and adults squirming in their chairs not quite knowing what to do next!
Great book, full of great material. I too printed and bound it for ease of use on cold winter nights. |

I've only caught a glimpse of The Dark Waltz, courtesy of a friend's computer screen, but it had all the hallmarks of a classic, I thought. The one routine I skimmed through the most, out of three or so, was the Dorian Hand of Glory - sweeet!
I don't know why we don't hear more about Mr. Fraughton. Maybe that will change now. Great idea on getting some hard bound copies, and congratulations! There's just something so, well, authoritative, about a hard bound book. It demands a bit of respect. No offense to anyone whose book is soft cover, natch. It's an expensive investment.
Just hanging out with the rest of my fellow dregs.

O.K. I'm back from Vegas and ready to make books available.
Just to clarify, The books are soft bound, even though they are now in hard copy (meaning not an e-book). They look great. If you can provide me with a receipt from Lybrary.com, I'll sell you a copy for $17 (for a limited time) plus $4 shipping. I want to make sure I take care of those of you who inspired and helped pay for printing. If you want to purchase a copy and haven't purchased the e-book, the price is $35. plus $4 shipping. PM me with your email address and I'll send you the ordering info. By the way, the book is also available on Amazon.com, but I am offering a better deal here. Thanks again. Michael

Congrats on being listed on Amazon!
We'll connect my getting a hard copy to treasure. I'll try to let the Shadow Digest folk know the good news as well. How did the Vegas session go? Magically, Walt |

Sounds great, Michael. I absolutely loved the electronic version of the book, but a hard copy is even better! I'll send you a quick PM in a moment.

I've sent you a PM.....does shipping to the UK cost more?
|
|||||||||
fraughton Veteran user of books 327 Posts |
I haven't yet calculated shipping for the UK, but for now I will set it $8 (US of course). This is, of course, subject to change if the price is very far off of actual shipping. Thanks.

I, too, do not particularly like ebooks. The Dark Waltz was the first magic ebook I purchased. I, too, printed it out and bound it. It has become one of my favorite contemporary bizarre magick books. Well crafted stories, well thought out material, and a great style.

I just wanted to Provide an Update on Shipping prices.
I will ship to the UK and Europe (Priority Mail) for $12 (US dollars). This is a few cents above actual shipping costs. I will, of course, honor the lower shipping price for those who have already placed orders. I intend to ship the first orders this weekend. Thanks. Michael

It seems that I had been mis-informed on Priority Mail International Shipping Rates. Shipping to Europe and the UK is exactly $16.
I have honored the quoted price on all orders up to this point. I am sorry to raise shipping rates again; this should be the last time until the post office raises prices on me. I was very close on orders in the US, but shipping is now $5 instead of $4. Thanks for bearing with me, and I think we're good for the forseeable future. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
