My all time fav is 7-Card Monte (Vernon, who else) with a double facer.

Double backers are my favorites Smile

Dai Vernon is said to have used a double-backed card in his ambitious card routine and he managed to fool Houdini with it.

Yeah, it's called The Trick That Fooled Houdini. Daryl teaches a way in his video to do it without the double backer, and it's even better.

I like playing around with red blue double backers. But I also like the card that has two backs on it made by cajmagic. I have a quick vanishing card effect using this card that I like.-Brandon Johnson

2 index cards are also very useful (Queen H/D, Ace H/D)

Mine is the Infinity gaff card from Martin Nash's Infinity and Beyond video. It isn't quite like the premade gaffs that we usually talk about on this forum, but it's still the gaff card that I use most often.

I like the Ace gaffs for 'Aces in Their Faces'....my favourite gaffed effect to do. I'm also learning some card splitting so I can make a new set of these.

My new favorites have to be the cards that Gary Plants makes for Robert-Houdin's Protean Pack...

The ones you should always have with your are:

Double Bcker
Red/Blue Double Backer
Dupe Card
Card from a different color deck

Just keep those in your Angel Case, and you are good to go (you will have to modify tha case for that).

Yup, the Hofzinser See-thru-card is good to use. I like it too.
Here is a photo of that card in front of a mirror: http://www.magicbycardmaker.com/mediapoo....../HFZ.jpg

I myself made me that with a Bicycle 1800th card as my universal prediction.

I use it that way:
- I remove the HFZ card (in Bicycle Vintage 1800 design) from my wallet and show its back to the spec. I say: "Well, this my grandfathers old card from years ago. The funny thing about that, that it will always! match your card which you will select soon. Since I use it that often, the card is worn and...."
- Still showing only the back of the card, I place or hold it in front of light (this can be a window while daylight or any light) and say: "... it is so much worn that you can see thru the card! Can you see the card?"
- Then force a card (the red spot card) and ask the spec, if my grandfather's card matches his card. He will say no, since he saw a 7 of Clubs with the HFZ card.
- Ask him "Sure?"
- Then let the spec turn over the HFZ card to be astonished, that this card matches his selection!

I haven't seen Larry Davidson posting here for quite a while but he has, in my opinion, one of the best uses for the Hofzinser that I've ever seen.

Check HERE, about 16 posts from the top...

Greetings Bernd;
Great use of the Hofzinser card, and the ideal of using the vintage 1800 design along with your patter is pure poetry.
All the Best

He always had great posts, very informative.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.
