I would like to know more about this effect. Is it really that good? A thorough description of the effect would be nice. Thank you.

It's awesome. A borrowed ring is placed on a close-up mat, covered with a napkin, then covered with a wine glass. Another napkin is placed near to it on the mat, and that is also covered with a wine glass. There is a clear separation of the napkins at this point. The first wine glass is lifted and the napkin below reveals that the ring is no longer there. Upon removing the other glass and napkin, the ring is now on the other side. That's about as thorough as you need to follow the effect.

It's VERY deceptive and you can imagine the storylines that can go along with this. It's what I would call an elegant effect. It's described in his book as well as one of his videos. You should see it in actual performance.

Oh my, this is a great effect!!! It looks so good and can easily fit right into your close-up show. You should see the reactions from the people off of this thing!

It looks quite nice, but I would think long and hard about the practicality before buying or building it. Do you really need a special mat (NOT the same one you use in the rest of your set, if you use one), two glasses, and two napkins to make a ring go from one place to another? If you can make all those things make sense, then it's a potentially very good effect; if not, then it's a bunch of extraneous props used to accomplish an effect that can be done in a hundred simpler ways.

Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.

It's very nice. I have it but I seem to have problems doing it close up. Does anyone know what I mean?

I know I may be in the minority on this one, but I think it is just like a Tenyo effect minus the plastic, which for some performers is not a bad thing. I gave mine away.

Ivan, Regaal includes this trick in his video/DVD "The Magic Of David Regal Vol 1". He demos the trick and then tells you how to build it. I bought the trick and find it has an excellent reaction from the audience. However I must admit I get just as much astonishment from dropping the ring into a glass and making it vanish and reappear in a double locked box. You can do that a lot cheaper than the T&B illusion.

Clever idea but personally i don't use it.You may have a little problem if you perform surrounded and think that you have to carry the special mad with you if you want to perform this effect.
Don't wait for the perfect moment...Take a moment and make it perfect!!!
