Maybe I'll send you just the transmitter, and I'll watch you work the puppet here.
Most systems are 75 megahertz ours is 2.4 GhZ! Ax

Wow
That's a strong transmitter Steve...the one controlling it can be way backstage or even at the far end of the gallery.

The difference I see are the antennaes which are short and has less probabilities of interference. These are normally used for airplanes and helicopters and can be used to as much as 1 kilometer away depending on the conditions. As for the remote drawing board, it uses a different system and can only be controlled within a short distance. But it is pure genius for Steve to be able to make it remote controlled with the eraser.

I got the technical from Ron.... Yes it is very legal. and Internationally legal. It is used for WiFi internet and bluetooth units. All systems in that frequency range must not interfere with each other. It is so sophisticated that when you turn it on, it seeks out and finds available frequencies to lock into. There can be 80 of these characters in the same area performing at once! Amazing.
The Remote Board uses a different system, not as powerful but completely different. It has 40 optional frequencies to use. Ax

I can't give you a when yet. It will surely be weeks. We have added many of the features requested by the hundreds of customers who want these, and it takes time to develop, prototype, test, adjust, prototype, approve, and enter production phase when we can begin to take your order. I can just say that "it's getting closer!".

Steve, have you looked into "voice changers". How about talking to the puppet into an entirely different voice like chipmunks, robocop, etc. I suppose this could also be an option, too.
I have a microphone that has this built in and you could switch voices with a press of a button.

Hopefully not happened, but let say, if we play the figure in a crowded food court, which have free WiFi service and a lot of people use their WiFi notebook and activated their bluetooth cellphones too. And the building management use wireless LAN Connection. What should we expect? Any possibility that we jammed other device or they jammed our figure? Just curious. |

You realize that the question about the 2.4 ghz trasmitter is for MAGIC system only, not VENT? No problem with the RC frequency on the MAGIC transmitter (HANDS-FREE RC CONTROL SYSTEM). Ron says it's completely legal and approved for all countries. You can never have interference.
The 2.4 ghz transmitter we use can accommodate 80 Hands-Free Remote Control Puppets all in the same area and not interfering with each other. So either you can have a solo gig with 80 puppets in your show or 80 of you with these can all be booked at the same mall location...no problem. This radio manufacturer has a unique spectrum of 80 channels dedicated to it's system! Nothing else can even used these 80. They lock onto their own channel, and will block any interference. This is amazing technology. Even if you are hired to perform at a Radio Control Airplane convention (let's hope you don't!) ....79 planes can use this exact radio and not interfere with your performance. They might make a lot of noise flying over your Toucan but he'll keep working. If another guy tries to turn on another exact radio making 81 of the same system, it will not be able to work until one channel opens up. Even this 81st radio control unit cannot turn on and interfere with your show. There are actually 4 billion high frequency codes available to makers of bluetooth, cell phones, etc. None of those can interfere with the 80 this system uses. I'll get info on the key fob the VENT system uses too.

Put up a youtube video if you can demonstrate it. On the MAGIC of course you could the voice changer one to record a voice onto the mp3 for MagicTrax or MotorMouth either one.

The tiny remote fob you hold in your hand is Radio Frequency (no direct line of sight needed like infra-red tv remotes). It can operate within 1000 feet of the puppet.

The only real limit is your imagination.
Someone just called me and said that they just talked to a recreational center that wants 18 of them to put around a fun golf course for kids. The characters talking with them as they play. You can approach various entertainment centers in your area, sell your services as the operator to events, malls, etc. Not just your stage shows. This is big. Ax

Congrats Steve - you do have something big here. The idea of 18 of them being in one place shows me you've got a market for affordable animatronics that goes well beyond an entertainer's show. Unfortunately I'm not interested in becoming an operator. (Which means more money for those who do!)
It also tells me a custom puppet is going to be even more important since I want a unique look without people ever saying "They had those at that mini golf!" I guess I'll start re-thinking the idea and wait until after the initial roll-out. Again, congrats! Tom |
