I am thinking about purchasing the Dream Gimmick so I can upgrade my current Zombie routine, what are the pros and cons of using the Dream Gimmick?

This has been discussed on the Café extensively,
do a search and you'll find a ton of materials on this.

In brief, there are huge angle problems, it limits some moves,
and it takes tons and tons of care and time to learn.

That said, for the right performer, in the right routine,
in the right venue, it can do some astounding things.

Above all, as with all zombie gimmicks, practice, practice, practice!

Magically,

PS:
Rather than his Dream Gimmick, invest in great advice,
and get Jeb Sherril's Zombie Reanimated DVD's I and II.
It will get you going in the right direction.

Tommy Wonder has some GREAT tips and constructions ideas in his Books of Wonder series. His zombie work looks like real magic.

Personally, I don't like Dream Gimmick. IMO, it doesn't increase the "move menu," it severely limits it.

I can tell you guys what I've learned thus far from customer feedback. Everyone has either loved or hated "The Dream Gimmick". Those who love it, keep coming up with new ways of using it and those that hate it, find it incredibly limiting. One customer told me that he bought one. Hated it. Tried to sell it. Didn't find a buyer, so he played with it more and now loves it.

My advice is don't try one unless you already know what you are doing with a regular gimmick, and are also willing to put a lot of work into a gimmick that works completely different than a normal gimmick. Pay close attention to the DVD as there are some modifications at the very beginning that many people miss and it leads to certain angle problems.

If anyone has any trouble using the gimmick, please contact me and I'll do all I can to help.

I don't believe in reincarnation, but I may have in another life.
