Looking for a review of Fearson's Cigarette. I normally don't like IT as I find it a royal pain to work with and hookups are frustrating. But this looked nice. Since I smoke I'm looking for some cigarette magic to do since it's always with me.

It's simple and easy to do. It also allows you to have a large available area of movement. Rather than just having it floating in your hand, you can have it go from your mouth straight down to the waist and back up again.

His hookup is easy to do and use (reuse), though you will need a second to set it back up when you're done, provided you don't smoke the cigarette.

I used to use it all the time till those lawsuits taught me that cigarettes are bad for me. Thank God for them 'cause otherwise I might never have known! LOL

Mat,

I've had discussions before in this forum about cigarette magic (pros and cons in this day and age). I'd love to do the Fearson cigarette levitation but not with cigarettes. I'm trying to come up with a LOGICAL substitute that can start in the mouth and end in the mouth. The nearest thing I can think of is a short pencil or ball-point pen but I concerned about the weight and length.

Any ideas for alternate use of the IT and Fearson's handling?

Thanks for any info.

You could try toothpicks.

A toothpick would work, but may be difficult to see depending on your performance situations.

In the document, Steve actually offers a couple suggestions, since he also gave up smoking. I've toyed with Lifesavers, which Michael Ammar also included on one of his IT DVDs.

Keep in mind, Turk, the item need not necessarily start in the mouth to be effective. Float a donut hole (no sugar, no fat, no cholesterol, ultra-lite donut holes!).

fearsons method is really versatile and can be adapted to many different objects, as well as other non-floating IT applications.
the fact that it allows you to move objects to and from your mouth seems to have dominated the creation of routines. you can quite easily have an object float out of a top shirt pocket and return there.

Maybe a stick of Wrigley's gum. Perform routine then unwrap and chew.

You could use a straw, a coin, a playing card, a pencile, bank note. Just be creative

Michael Ammar uses the Fearson hook-up to float a lifesaver into his mouth in his Easy to Master Thread series.

Thanks guys,

I appreciate the all the ideas. I particularly like the idea of a piece of gum because, even if I don't use gum, I like the idea of culminating with an edible object. Implicitly, the edible object must be real (and not a magic gimmicked deally-bober) since the magician actually consumes the item.

Thanks again for all the ideas.

How about one of those peppermint sticks? Or candy cig/cigars? Or bubble pipe? I'm fooling around with fake insects (like bee or fly buzzing about)...
