You know, I know this sounds a bit cheesy, but: aren't sponge balls terrific!? I was goofing around with mine last night, doing some stuff for my daughter (some Chris Randall stuff) -- really, just rehearsing actually, and my 6-year old kiddo was just blown away! She was freaking out! What a great item....so simple, but so powerful.
His face isn't really this long in-person!

Yes, and it's frustrating when you do your "ooh-aah" knucklebusting stuff in walkaround and next time they come in the restaurant with their friends, they say "Do the sponge ball trick for them".

My mother gets a bigger kick out of sponge ball tricks than some of my best IMPOSSIBLE effects! The last time I was there instead of "none in my hand 2 in hers" I brought a doz. 1 inchers into play and I thought the poor gal was gonna bust a blood vessel! FUN STUFF!

Check out Stanley Jaks' Multiball routine. It uses tiny sponges as the ending.

Is that the routine with the home-made balls cut from different coloured sponges, Bill?
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three. Elayne Boosler

No, it's the one where 40 or 50 balls apparently come out of the spectators hands.

I have an old Linking Ring Parade in which Dr. Jaks wrote up his sponge rabbit routine. His ending was with 20 or 30 rabbits that seemingly came out of the spectator's hand.
By the way, I find that the sponge rabbits play bigger for me than the balls do. I'm a big fan and carry the rabbits with me all of the time. |

Sponge balls are great! So simple but for others it seems like a miracle! Sometimes I just think to myself: "How could people be so amazed by this?" But hey, at least it works. I continue to do sponge ball routines often. They really get great reactions.
