That method never really got me enthusiastic (I still prefer Richard Mark's over any other) but thank you for reminding me that the second video came up with the option of buying that special TT with it.

I bought it with the tape set at full price.
I was not thrilled with the grip for the spoons. I did spend quite a bit of time working with it thinking that maybe I was mistaken. I found no benefit for it. Yes, Richard Marks' is a diabolically simple method and one I do use today. I like the Bavli method, but it is not practical for me. I primarily go as clean as possible in method and props when performing mentalism. Tony |

What's become of Marks? He's a very bright guy, but seems to have vanished.

Entity,
Richard Marks is kept captive in my secret cave. He is presently working on a new book.

In the year 1985 Guy Bavli my friend was 14 years old
He did only sponge ball magic and dove productions His father was a Captain in Elal airlines and the Jumbo 7474-200 was landing in Louis Tannen shop every week. Only around 1994-5 Guy started mentalisem and did the tapes we are talking about Trust me on this one Lior (just came back from the other side)

Shane has an extremely important point.Justification of our actions. For example; If I do a deck change using the well known 'servante behind chair back'.Now I need to justify why I moved the chair....justification> .. for the spectator to sit down....and the chair was placed too much upstage or downstage. Why was a chair offerred to just this spectator, the previous one called up on stage was not offerred a chair?.justification>spectator did a great and difficult job of shuffling/mixing the deck so he must be tired. OR justification with humour>u have paid for a seat havent u..so why not sit down.. In other words all the theatrical movements/misdirection must be justified(from the spectator point of view). Many senior magi have been digressing from the topic...though they could have given a lot of valuable inputs.Thats my two paisa.Mindshrink PS:Forgive me ..but..Jason I see no reason to move this to 'Inner Thoughts'. |
