Hi Guys,
I am currently working on a routine where I have to put one coin into classic palm as I am reaching towards my back pocket, I then need to steal two coins out silently and immediately get them into classic palm whilst bringing my hand from my back pocket, leaving me with three classic palmed in my right hand. Any suggestions or tips on the subject would be much appreciated, Cheers Chris |

If you can sacrifice the "immediate" part of your requirements, you might be able to steal out the next two coins in finger palm, then s-l-i-d-e them onto the classic-palmed coins silently over the next few moments. (Soft coins are best for this silent sliding, of course.)

soft coins won't talk so much when you are putting them into classic palm.

Alittle music in thr background helps a lot. Also, patter at the appropriate time is always a plus. The audience isn't listening for sound as much as you

Forgive me for maybe speaking wrongly, but, if you already are going to have one coin palmed, why not start with all three. I don't know what effect you are doing, but another magician friend once told me if you need to have the coin(s) in one position, try to have them there from the beginning.

Sorry, I don't see the problem. Sounds like a fine strategy as it is.
In fact, the classic palm is preferred to fingerpalm coming out of your pocket, since finger palm makes your hand a fist, and difficult to remove smoothly. Since sound seems to be your concern, classic palm the two on the single in your pocket, and that's probably the most sound protection you're going to get. Sound is created by vibrations. If you make sure the coins can't vibrate, there won't be much noise.

Chris, I need more information.
1.What is the rationale in the spectator's mind for why you are reaching into your back pocket? 2.Are you wearing a jacket? If you have a sports jacket on, I might have a coin holder pinned to the back pocket (or near it)and load it with three of your coins. When you go to the back pocket drop the coin in classic palm back into the pocket while stealing the 3 coins from the holder squeezing them between the palm and middle and ring fingers. This may make less noise than stealing two and adding it the one already in your palm and might be faster. |

To give a bit more information on the routine I am doing a perpetual coins from the air routine ( similar to misers dream) dropping the coins into the back pocket. As I carry one coin to my back pocket with my right hand another appears at the left fingertips. For this part of the routine it is essential for the move involved that I only use two coins. I then want to cause a number of coins to appear at fingertips so that I can move on to a coins across routine.
