I've managed to attend every one so far and I'm quite sure I will be at 08's with lots of goodies. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Cheers.

Luke,

As you can see that comment was long before I knew you were in the Café, and before you told me you dislike the show.

Omar,

Prepare to enjoy a great time at Mindvention. Bring your camera to record meeting some of the greats.

Whilst I have many great memories of my 3 visits there, the highlights have to be seeing Luke perform and having lunch with he, Banachek, Gerard, Bro. Gilbert and Christopher Taylor.

Chatting with the creative genius Lee Earle and breakfast with George Tait also have to be noted.

However, I must also mention the absolute pleasure it was to enjoy one of the great comedy mentalists of all, the absolutely unforgettable John Archer. To this day my wife and I still "crack up" thinking about his act.

So many more great people to mention, just some of whom are, the gentleman Bruce Bernstein, Rick Maue, the Double Act of Nardi & Spellman etc etc (Danny Archer isn't even paying me for saying all this).

You'll enjoy and remember the experience for a long time.

James Biss I would not mind seeing him lecture at Mindvention 2008, I hear good and bad about him, but after reading his book and looking at some of his effects, I like the way the man thinks and would like to learn more first hand from him.

Thanks Hennessey,

I am really looking forward to it, I wanted to attend Blackpool, but I travel a lot with my position so I was not able to, I will be there in November.

Sitting down and having a chit chat with any of those that you mentioned would be a treat. I will take lots of pictures and if anybody cares, I will even offer some one on one Black Jack lessons as I have been playing for about 20 years.

As a mtter of fact I will be in Vegas from 4/19 - 4/25. I plan to see Gerry McCambridge on stage.

Anyway, thanks again.

Jim Callahan and I should be in the area that week too. We will be pretty busy during the day but we will try to find the "Lounge" each evening and have a few cocktails before we pass out towards daybreak. Hope to see many of you there Smile Tom Cutts has a few stories that must be "BESTED" Smile

There are a handful of people I’d love to see at Mindvention 2008. I think Osterlind is in a class by himself -- I'm not saying he's the best, but in terms of knowledge, creativity, output AND generosity, I think it's tough to compare very many others with him. I'd also like to see Banachek; I saw him perform at the National APCA this year and he was amazing. I’d also like to second the suggestion of James Biss. I'm not comparing him to Osterlind or Banachek, but the man is definitely creative and, like the previous poster, I like the way he thinks. Also, if anyone would like an example of what extraordinary customer service looks like, PM me and I'll tell you about my personal experience with Mr. Biss. I’d never met the guy before but he definitely went above and beyond in making sure I was totally happy with our transaction. The magic industry could use a few more customer-focused vendors like him.

"The Palms" is a great place to kick it at the Center Bar, and near by Lounge Bar, BUT the Palms is a few miles from the host casino/hotel...

It would be a dream to come to mindvention. Hopefully I can do it. I will second what people have said about James Biss. I love his thinking and would love to see him at mindvention. Since ive never seen a live mentalism show or lecture coming to mindvention would be great. Time to save money and convince the financeminister ( my wife ) to get a GO.

Lol,Very funny
he's a great singer and dancer.

He played guitar with Joe Strummer the Clash's leader.
I heard as hobby he does some cool mentalism trick Smile
