Richard, Stickman 4 is one of my very favourites and I often follow it up with sankeys phoenix effect. I would like to know how often you perform this one.Did you ever had any problems with the fact that the cards are not examinable at the end. how do you ring out the gaffs, do you have a special patter. Also I am interrested if you sometimes have another regular 4 jokers with you to make an examination possible.

I love, and I mean love this trick. It totally floors spectators. Don't worry about the examinability of the cards at the end. The spectators only want to look at the Joker they are holding onto!
But the one I use more often than not, simply because it's impromptu, is Richard's Stickman trick. Plays huge for both adults and kids.

If done right, they don't wnat to ever examine any trick. The tag line " and everything is examinable" is to put Magicians at ease.

I am an unapologetic packet trick addict. I buy them, learn them, and drawer them! In the last 7 years I have added 1 to my "always with me" repertoire and that is Stickman 4! I do have them sign the Joker to verify it it is theirs (and perhaps take any heat off the other cards at the end). I have done this trick literally hundreds of times and not once (!) has anyone asked to see the "other" cards.
This one is truly as much fun to perform as to witness. Thank you Richard. |

Love this trick too. I've never had a spectator who wanted to see the other cards. When I first saw this trick performed live I was astonished myself. The idea is just perfect.
I myself have been working on some adjustements for this trick, just added some convincers, and some elmsley counts here and there. This, along with Gobsmack Pack is my favorite Sanders trick. Oh, welcome to Magic Café, Richard |

What is the actual name of this effect? Is it "Stickman" or is it "Stickman 4?"

And then STICKMAN4 which is gaffed but no one will care because they will be too shocked by the outcome. BOTH are on The Richard Sanders Show DVD set which is a MUST HAVE set.

I modified this trick and used a sticker ("Little Richie's Stickerman" from "As the Crow Flies"). I used to perform it at tables with children. It was a great trick, a great giveaway, and I included a "card on forehead" moment that made it play well for adults who were watching.

Thanks guys,
I love Stickman 4 The visual at the end really knocks the spectators for a loop! I never have a problem with examination of the cards because all they really want to see is the one card that is not gimmicked Ideas: If you carry a bunch of pre-gimmicked jokers. Have the joker signed before the final move where all the stickman appear on the one card. If you want more details on the technique I use either drop me a line or better yet, join my Newsletter at http://www.sandersfx.com as I will be sending updates and handlings tips from time to time this as well as lots of other Sanders FX items. Also, you'll be the first to know about all the new stuff coming out early this year. Gotta stay hush hush about it for now...but there is some VERY EXCITING STUFF on the way! BTW, I only have a few copies of The Richard Sanders Show Vol. 1-3 left. If you are interested in them, drop me an email line at info@sandersfx.com and I will be happy to put together a little deal for you Another idea is to use logos for the company that you are working for and then have them all visually appear on the one card the spectator chose. Shouldn't be too difficult to come up with a marketing angle to tie the whole thing together. Something like, with xyz company you don't have to look all over to find great price, customer service, talent and support...we find you! |
