I have received numerous emails and PMs (probably as a result of this thread) asking to purchase copies of The Ephemeral Lecture Notes. So I thought I should clarify. At present, these notes are only available to those attending my lectures. However, the lecture was just videotaped at the International Magic Convention in London and will be released on DVD. When it is, I will be making the notes and DVD available as a package. This may not be for several months. However, I will let everyone know when they become available. Sincerely, Darwin Ortiz |

Darwin, what are the five best tricks in the Ephemeral notes?

I was fortunate enough to purchase these notes earlier this year at Darwin's lecture at Denny & Lee's in Baltimore. When these become available, do not hesitate to purchase them. Any one of the effects are worth the purchase price. Cheers,

And those four are all good effects. If you're planning on getting them, though, make sure your Faro is at least decent.
Yes, that is my real name. Yes, I am a real person. No, you probably won't agree with me.

I haven't read the notes yet, but if you ask me, I'd say Passing Through, Hard Target & Three Fly.

Dr Climonds,
I think ASW has his tongue firmly in his cheek and is flagging up the Café's endless propensity to ask this type of question. Regards, Paul H |

Also, let me know if you would like the lecture notes autographed. Sincerely, Darwin Ortiz |

Darwin,
Which of the tricks are better? The ones in the notes or the ones on the DVD? ASW

Andrew, I have some extra Svengali decks I could send you. Then you could order "25 Tricks with a Svengali Deck" on DVD, and you wouldn't have to read a thing.

Jeff,
Can you list the best 5 tricks in the Svengali DVD? Darwin: well that's what you say. Personally I prefer to avoid unsightly finger-flinging so I can focus on entertaining. ASW

Sure...#2, #6, #8, #10 and #14. Wait, #14 might be a bit advanced for you, it requires you remember something for a few moments. So make that #18. Jeff |

What was the subject again?
By the way, I just watched Darwin's new lecture DVD for these tricks and have to say it's excellent. Great tricks, great performances, great interaction with the spectators and a fascinating lecture on theory.
