I practice and perform with Jedinat cups. They have a good weight and feel and can fit a whopping load in the end.

Not to put words on Tom Frank's keyboard, but those cups look like the chrome plated Phoenix cups.
Jim Riser, Brett Sherwood and Jake Zimmerman are all making wonderful cups. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, we are living in the Golden Age of Cups and Balls. Look for things to happen in 2008 and 2009 that will set the world of cups and balls on its ear!

Depends. Sometimes it's the Smooth Sherwood brass cups. Sometimes Phoenix cups. Or Paul Fox cups (Danny Dew) Maybe the Faux Fox cups (I know Gasp! and I should be horse whipped for even making mention of those LOL). Sometimes coffee cups and fake olives. Just depends on where how what who etc....

I've got a "few" sets of cups...
I've got a set of Encore magic Monti cups that I use indoors because they are particularly shiny and are not as easily washed out as my cups that I use outside: My Tom Frank Mint: Phoenix cups- the copper has patina'ed so nicely on these- they look like they are 200 years old! Just gorgeous against my green velveteen tabletop! I sometimes use my Magicmakers Jumbo cups, but I do not like them much, and I find palming such a big ball to be troublesome sometimes as well... G

For elegant magic and formal close up settings..... My Johnsons set plus chop cup. I use Josh Riel's MFB with it! My wooden set....for a special combo routine that ends with wooden loads as well. The Uday Copper cups are used for sessioning and practicing new moves as well as set that all my magician friends can play with in The Tavern The RNT I Foxy are used for intimate close up and for making me smile! The Micro cups are used more for shell game work, however I also use it as reg cups. As a matter of fact I had custom made balls to fully utilize the chop cup feature of one of them. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l296/r......0649.jpg Really cheap MM mini cups that I got in San Francisco. This is what I used for tyhe 3 little pigs routine. The loads are hand made by myself. I plan to make better final loads. That was only the begining. Enjoy your cups fellas.... If you do I promise you they will love you back as well. Rannie

I LOVE my cups!
For everyday use, I have the Johnsons. For special occasions, I have the Sherwoods. I also really like the weight of the Sisti cups too. |
