Hi guys,
What exactly do model makers use dull coat for. I have been to my local Norwegian model shop and asked about testors and of course... he had no idea. But maybe Norwegian model makers have another product that does the same thing and thats the question... What do they do with it? Regards Alan Ps I contacted the only magic shop in Norway last week but they had gone away for a week... so Norway is closed for roughing fluid. |

It's basically a sealent used to protect the paint beneath. It will be applied as a finishing coat to a model.

Yakandjak is partly right. It does act as a fixatif, but it's not called DullCote for nothing. When you make models, sometimes the results look too shiny and plastic looking. Model makers like things to look as realistic as possible. DullCote helps create this effect by reducing the shiny appearance of the paints.
