I need some that'll light my flash paper without having to reach into my pocket to get a lighter.. that doesn't look very magicial... any suggestions?

You might try a Bang!Flash! on a holdout. You'll find construction plans in The Wizards' Journal #14 on my site. It has its own small flashpaper load, but you can use that small load to ignite a larger visible piece of flash paper by making sure the two are in contact when the Bang!Flash! is set off.

I use Jim Pace's Igniter and was wondering how it compares to Pyrofreak2 & Firestarter?
For launching I use Jim Paces Mestopholies - fire launcher and was wonderng how it compares to Fireball? I have had no problems and enjoy both of Jim Pace's fire effects. Eric |

Its not exactly what youre looking for, but would just use a simple lit match producer. even if someone thinks it dosent look all that magical, it still looks super slick . . . not to mention all the trouble you'll save yourself messing around with chemicals.
