Hello everyone. Once again I apologize to you who are sick and tired of my videos. I simply want to get better.
I filmed a couple of different angles, both dealing down and sailing, eventhough I always deal to myself (can sail them to other people as well, just forgot to film that and can't be bothered right now). Difficulties keeping the rhythm if I want to conceal the bad angle and if I conceal it, then the rhythm is off. The main problem I have is the one I stated above, still learning the new setup you are seeing and the fingerflash when pushing the card. I would still say that the rhythm / concealing part is the worst. Anyway, let me know what you think. Kim http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzbrEnc-M-M |

I think your right.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Without a doubt it's a nice center deal, MagicKim. You have made the points on what you need to improve on yourself. Are people really sick and tired of your videos? Who?
Just wanted to say good show. |

Well I get fewer replies every time. Like almost 60 people have watched it and 3 have replied.. I don't know but I feel I post quite a lot of videos. I more or less know what I have to work on, the thing I feel I don't know is how to correct the rhytm/concealing thing.. any ideas? anyone?

I don't think there are many experts centre dealers here that can give any help kim. I am not one as I don't use the deal. I would help if I could. I bet out of the 60 guys that have looked not many could do it as well.

The last two sets looked pretty good besides the things you have stated. the bottom line is that its a hard move and like tommy said not many people do it well enough to give advice on it. keep practicing like you are doing. I am sure in time you will find a grip or hand position that will allow you to maintain a better rhythm.

Papermechanic, I don't have a rhythm problem. The problem I have is that I need to conceal the right side of the deck when I take the center card and if I want to maintain a steady rhythm, then that side gets exposed. However, if I cover that angle with my right hand, as I said, then the rhythm gets screwed up. I have to find a way to maintain the rhythm AS WELL AS the concealment. THAT is the problem The grip is fine and comfortable and I get more and more used to the setup which will improve a lot from the previous one I used. I could tilt the deck but I don't think that is natural either...

I was actually thinking about the center deal today before I saw this topic. in my opinion if you are at a table were you are able to get away with a center deal, then in my opinion there are much easier things to revert to that will get the job done without the hassle. kim this is in no way directed towards you.
what if you were to hold the deck at an angle similar to a cop position to cover the break? I think the gene maze style center handling helps to keep the break as small as possible. I am not sure though. |

MagicKim what you don't understand is, is that you're going to where no man (at least at this forum) has gone before. (I’m captain Kirk but you’re John Luke Picard). You are taking dealing to another level right before everyone eyes and you don't even know it and that’s why they can’t help you. For the record NONE, I REPEAT NONE of the best of the best can do every deal so you're way ahead of them already in this area. I'm sorry to say but the closest person of that group who would be able to help you is I; and you're already better than me. I've analyzed the middle deal and learned it so many ways that I might be able to throw you a couple of hints that might be able to help you and even though it won't be a lot, you will owe me. (You know what I mean). For one, technically speaking your rhythm is really not your problem. Your problem is of your lack of knowledge about particulars and that you're demonstrating before magicians who don't know didley about how to do the deals nor of the gambling scene. I know because I had the same problem and to be honest with you, I still do because it's the magician side of me that keeps haunting me every once in a while. What do you mean Doc? When practicing like yourself I thought the hustling world had all these elite players out there like you know who? Allen Kennedy (middle dealer), Walter Scott (Punch Dealer), State Street Eddie (A glimmer Dealer), Dad Stevens (The Steven's Cull) and the list goes on and on. I wanted to be great like all of them but what I learned in the process because I was naive to a lot of things is that it really doesn't exist the way we was led to believe through these magicians; In other words what I'm saying is that we were brainwashed and now that I am cured, this is why I'm speaking at this forum; to let the wanna-be cheats know how it really is. You Don’t Pay Attention To Details Each individual that is mentioned above had their specialties (like you have yours) and these specialties that they had got them the money in which they needed to survive. Are you learning these moves to cheat or are you learning these moves to be like Scarne an exhibitionist? If you're learning these moves to cheat than you are already better than 95% of the hustler's I know in this country and a 100% better dealer than all the dealers I know already. Note: I'm rating this on how many deals a hustler can deal not on a hustler's overall ability. Now if you're going to be an exhibitionist, you are already a better dealer than Scarne, McDougal, Radner, Frank and the list goes on and on. Now you might have had trouble with Ed Marlo and Dai Vernon but everyone else you've already beaten out. (Note: Again this is only on deals before ya'll start jumping on me) The Rhythm Problem There is no rhythm problem when you're gambling as I've demonstrated in my video. At a card table you can stop, hesitate, wipe your head, cough, take a drink, eat a cheese doodle, ask a player what you want to do?, move a chip/glass, take a puff of whatever, straighten up your chair, tell a joke, talk mess and even fart at any point in your deal that you want and still continue to deal from there. So where is your problem? There is none. Your problem is the brainwashing of the magicians that your deal should be smooth and consistent all the way around the table and even though this may be true who said that this was written in stone? Kim, you know what the answer to your problem is but you're in so much of a rush to learn everything that you don't have the time to analyze it and when you do, you don't accept your judgment and this is why you come to the forum asking this and that about your deal. This Is How You Solve Your Problem Problem 1. The problem I have is that I need to conceal the right side of the deck when I take the center card. (This is not your problem) Solution 1. Why? The Answer. (Because) I cover that angle with my right hand. Problem 2. I don't have a rhythm problem. (Yes you do). Solution 2. Why? The Answer. You've been brainwashed into believing that you must maintain a steady rhythm and this is not true (see above topic Rhythm for reasons why). Questions that need to be answered? Do you have all the materials that has ever been written or shown about the middle deal? If so, what? If not do you want it? For the record there is not a lot of material on it so don't look for much but I do have what you're looking for. Bottom Line: You got what I need and I got what you need. MagicKim for the record and listen to me closely, I'm a card player/hustler and I know what to look for and I know what will pass in a card game. After close scrutiny of your dealing footage I have to say that I like it. Yes I like it good enough to trade knowledge with you on this as in our previous dealings. I'm only trading because I have a problem that you have seemed to solve on your footage. PM me and let me know if you're interested. I still need your answers to my questions because I need the exchange to be fair. Respectfully, Doc |

I think Kim is interested in gambling sleight of hand/false deals and really enjoys perfecting them. He may not be classified soley as a hustler/magician/exhibitionist...but wants to be the best at false deals/gambling sleights.
To use them in a game? Maybe; maybe not. Does he need a reason to love false deals and gambling slieghts? No! There is nothing wrong with posting videos...but I don't think you should expect a lot of comments because there is not much to comment on! Doc made some good points on the deal...take those in and keep practicing. I share a common interest with you Kim. I am an unclassified guy who loves gambling slieght of hand...I'm not "soley" anything (cheater/magician/exhibitionist). I don't claim to be anything. I'm here to learn about all worlds. That's who I am. Someone make a new category...I'm personally tired of this 'magician or hustler' BS. (This wasn't aimed at you Doc, this is just the feeling I get at these boards constantley and I felt it needed to be addressed.) Best, Grant Carden |

Clock you may be right about Kim but for the record us cheats don't care who or where we get our information from; information is information. If Kim's goal is to be the best sleight of hand dealer in the world he's getting there slowly but surely, but my goal is to get the money and to me Kim's move can get the money. I think that him and I are on the same page. I'll find out if he PM's me.
