I am an English speaking performer who depends a lot on story and humor within my performances. I was pleased to be asked to perform for about 200 Indians (not Native Americans) tonight. Although they are able to speak English, it is with a strong dialec. I wondered how this might affect the program. Turns out--they were a fantastic audience and seemed to really enjoy the program. Just goes to show that "Entertainment" bridges the differences that we may have.

No question about it, though it says a lot about your performance.

I agree. Although magic is universal, give yourself some credit. Great job!

Indian audiences love their magic and have a strong interest in mentalism too.
I do quite a few similar shows here in Australia for Indian multinational companies and with their economy absolutely booming we should all expect to do a lot more. |

Yes, they speak English. But,even the accent between regions of the USA can lead to occasional communication difficulties. Thanks to those that understood the point and had kind words.

As one who has travelled around the world and know a great many Indians let me assure you....people who speak English, regardless of accent, understand English. Southerners understand people from the Northwest just fine. Your post was funny though and I appreciate good humor, intended or not.
