Hi, I love coin across routines but I think the Click Pass really doesn't look to good.
What do you think of the click pass? Does it fool the spectator?

Thanks

I agree with Closeupinventor, the click pass can and does fool the spectator! I know I have done it with great success. You should keep in mind there are many versions of the click pass, some better than others in my opinion. I don't know where you seen it performed or which version, but check out some other performances and versions, because it can make for a great tool in your toolbox.....

There are a huge variety of different click passes out there. HUGE.

Some don't fool anyone. some are incredibly deceptive even if you know the move already.

I should mention that there have been a couple of threads on this in the past.
Here's one specifically on your question:

Check out all the click passes on the Encyclopedia of Coin Sleights DVD set. You can see several in action, and decide which one works best for you. You can also find many click passes in the New York Coin Magic Seminar DVD series, and in the Ultimate Rattle Purse companion DVD there are a few new killer passes.
S.E.M. (The Sun, the Moon, and the Earth) is a sun and moon routine unlike any other. Limited to 100 sets, here is the promo:

I second Vinny's crimp click, it's pretty impressive and allows for multiple coin usage.

I love and use the click pass with great results! I'm thinking it's time to go to the Godfather for more advise!

Click pass works!!!! that's one of the hurdles you have to over come when it comes to coin magic. To you it seems these things don't work but trust us they do. But if you don't beleive then it will show in your magic....I hope that made sense.

Even the most basic click done well adds so much! Add a little retention of vision and you have a killer IMO!

Also, Rune Klan's is nice, because it looks exactly like it would if you were actually tossing the coins from hand to hand (unlike a lot of click passes, which I think over-prove) and with just a little tweak, you can retain, 1, 2 or really any number of the coins.

The clink pass does fool laymen. It is just like so many other moves: you think they would never fool anyone but they do.

Nick DeCiutiss (NicholasD on this forum) taught me a wickedly deceptive click pass which does NOT use the classic palm and looks better than the standard click pass.

Excellent point, with a click pass, a little goes a long way. This should be as subtle as you can make it. The average spectator, whether a layperson or a magician, is concentrating on the sense of sight. A subtle sound effect will blow their doors off, and if it's done right, they won't even realize it was the sound that sold them.
