Mr. Nardi and Mr. Earl seem to have another killer effect on the way. This looks like it will be killer. Look on you tube and search coinbend skin

I have seen David Penn perform this effect in person on a work colleague during a walkaround gig he had at our office. I was looking out for the Quantum Bender and was burning his hands and yet it flew past me and I know most of the methods to "bend" coins. I was utterly baffled??? My work colleague even more so being a lay person!! Best coin bend I have seen other than Richard Osterlinds which simply defies belief. Reckon this is gonna have a hefty price tag mind!!

Venus, I think you may have this thread confused with the David Penn's "Coinvexed" thread. This one is about Ben Earl's effect "Skin". They both sound very nice.
Cheers, Al

Matt,
Bens skin effect is so much more than a coin bend. No, the coin isn't signed but trust me this is not a problem. This manuscript and companion dvd will detail a complete 3-4 minute performance piece which involves the audience on many levels. I was lucky enough to be at the filming of this project and saw this piece performed for about 8 different groups. The reactions were astounding. Im sure Mr Nardi will keep us informed with more details very soon. Best John |

I... need... this...
I really am looking forward to this, and I'm loving the slant this is taking, and with the focus being on the psychological aspects. |

I think the "necessity" to have the coin signed is a little stupid. No layperson has ever put a marker to a coin and signed it before...that's just utterly weird to them. The signing aspect is something that we magicians have created in our search for better, "more amazing" conditions in our magic.
If presented properly, I'm sure the signed factor won't matter one bit. Personally, I'm really looking forward to this. Looks great. Nick |

It is the best one out there. What should a coin bend look like from everyone's perspective (magicians and general public)? Borrow a coin, have it marked, bend it in full view. No funny moves, no cover. |

I don't think they are ready to release this yet. Perhaps after Blackpool...

Quote: I agree. I use my own handling for a coin bend and it looks very clean and fair and specs never think of a switch. The signing of the coin is unnecessary if the switch is invisible and if your hands are convincingly shown to be clean afterwards.
