Magicbob's new e-book the "I Hate Card Tricks" book of card tricks, shows you how to make your own gaffed cards for each of the miniature stage illusion-type card tricks. He describes in detail the process of printing on regular blank-face or blank-back bicycle playing cards using your inkjet printer, and then gives you 10 excellent reasons for doing so with the 10 effects contained in the e-book. You can even buy the individual effects one by one if you don't feel you need the entire book. It's worth checking out, and you'll find it on my site.

Very, very highly recommended! I am having way too much fun creating these gaffs. I can't imagine anyone not loving this book.

Hope if you are using an ink jet that you are either sanding or cleaning the face of the cards varnish coating off

I just compiled some of the tips that I've picked up during the last six months or so (here and elsewhere) into a short, easy to follow, step-by-step guide. The guide is intended primarily as a means for folks to create the custom cards required for some of my effects, but the process can be used to create ANY card design you dream up. Traditional card splitting techniques are still preferable for some types of gaff cards. But for gaffed and REALLY funky designs (e.g., The Kremated King, Twisted Sister, etc.), it's just not a feasible method. Having them professionally printed is another option, of course (although cost prohibitive for many of us). I think this "Do It Yourself" method is a cost effective alternative that produces good results.
