Crazy, this thread goes all the way back to 2003- 15 years! Many tricks are listed throughout the years. And I'm not really about to break that.

Invisible Deck
Handkerchief vanish/reappearance using TT
Scotch and Soda

As far as "tricks" of the trade go, Maximum Entertainment by Ken Weber.

That is totally true , I think sometimes the ingenious methods of some effects attract us as magicians more than the actual effect.

My submissions are props to purchase that I use all the time and not overly expensive or "collector" oriented. I can't name one and these are in no particular order of priority. I'm sure I am forgetting something too.

1) Barry Price Wallet using Extractor deck to palm the card away (signed card is seen stapled inside the sealed envelope after being removed from the zippered wallet compartment. The envelope is torn and spectator's card removed cleanly. Card can be examined and has staple holes in it. It simply fry's audiences)

2) Kennedy Mystery Box using Mercury Fold (people freak out).

3) Dean Dill's Blizzard and Dean's Box (great reactions).

4) Don Alan Chop Cup (with double fruit lemon loads).

5) Lassen Copper, Silver, and Brass (Dollar size)

6) Johnson Cig. thru quarter (great at parties when someone is smoking).

7) Wenger Spirit Bell (spooky)

8) Kohler's Aces in Their Faces (just looks impossible)

9) Invisible Deck (also looks impossible)

10) Princess Card Trick (fun)

11) WOW (great reactions)

12) NEMO 1500 (great)

I have bought hundreds of tricks, books and materials the last 40 years. Many are great but, to me above them all is the venerable classic thumb tip. With it I have cataloged a repertoire of 180+ tricks I can carry in my pocket. I don’t use them all but it sure is fun.

After trying almost every tip on the planet, I settled back on the ole Vernet Classic $3 and Vernet King Size $4.

Then these books, DVDs, VHS’s and Downloads have been added to the library.
**Examining the Thumb Tip by Alexander DeCova
***Patrick Page video on Thumb tips
*Darwin's Encyclopedia of Thumb Tip Magic 3-DVD set
**Hand-picked Astonishments (Thumb Tips) by Paul Harris and Joshua Jay
*Dan Harlan Tarbell 6 Thumb Tips Download
*Duane Laflin the Magicians Secret Weapon the Thumb Tip
***Salvano Greater Magic Thumb Tips
*Thumbtipedia By Vernet
**Losander As Good as It Gets
**Thumb tips World’s Greatest Magic

*Tipnician book by Bob Chesbro 1982
*Milbourne Christopher 50 Tricks with a Thumb Tip book

*Basics-Start here and master these.
**Thinking outside the box and good methods. Expand your repertoire.
***Great handling ideas. Awesome nuggets.

Just my thoughts.

I don't care for the idea of A Favorite or The Best. So let me mention a few of my favorites.
I really enjoy and audiences like D'Lite.
Jay Sankey's Papercliped.
Cameron Francis' Creation. I throw in a a world famous Quasi Shuffle or two.
And finaly from Sucker Punch I do a production of one chip, to two chip to, three chips, then vanish them one at a time. The last goes away leaving me clean. There is just a bit more in the middle but you get the idea.
Best, Kim

Without a doubt, those three and Color Monte plus Fan-ta-stik when I started back in 93'. Great minds.😄

Mene Tekel deck. I’ve crafted whole sessions around this half-forgotten classic and wouldn’t be without one. I now make all my own.

Multi Dimensional from Promystic has certainly had the most use. Even though, I don't use much in the way of electronics now, this is still getting good play. Can use it at reading parties as well where the readings are less serious and with focus also on entertainment.
