A regular plain deck of Bicycle cards, some rope, and some Kennedy halfs.
These items started it all for me and they still rule today just from the threads I see in 2010! |

I love all of Dean Dill's illusions, but Dean's Box is the best......
His Revelation is next on my list to purchase. |

One of my most useful buys was a set of colored ESP cards but as for effects, the two I get most mileage from are Between the Lines by Michael Murray and the book test, Ne Plus Ultra.

I agree with Dean's Box (every magician should have one) and Mind Power Deck (so beautiful, it feels like you're really reading minds).
But my favourite at the moment has to be Nostradamus' Chest from Viking. Ouch! It's just a magician's dream. ANY number thought of proves to be the location in the deck of the prediction card, contained in an envelope along with a deck of (regular) cards in a completely innocent box. Everything can be examined, and no one will EVER get close to the secret. Many presentations are possible, I use mine with Abbott's PowerBall 60 for a devastating mental effect. My presentation does take a lot of mental acrobatics, but it's worth learning the mathematics for the huge payoff! Potty |

Just after you get the ring off from your shoelace ask the same spectator (who is in shock) to think of any random object. He will wrote this object on your STEAM paper and BAM BAM... second shock.
Don't feel responsable after this patient is in coma but send him flowers. So... STEAM for me! |

Mindreading Goose, both funny and amazing. I do it every show and every show people see it and the Goose helps me book another show.

Coinvexed, not cheap but I've had my moneys worth.
For a cheaper effect you can't beat Card on ceiling.

Well, in my over 20 years of doing magic I have purchased A LOT of magic. Some great and some not so great. I'd have to say, recently, in the last few years, the BEST magic items I've purchased are my 3 Peter Austin Magic Fire Wallets. I could fill pages on how great they are but I will tell you that if you are into Fire Wallets you need to check out his 21st Century Fire Wallet line. There are 5 different fire wallets and they are really just amazing. NO ONE has anything like them, they are a total work of art.
here is the website if you're interested in more info: http://www.peteraustinmagic.net He has demos for each one and lots of written information too |
