The whole thing started when I was interested in getting a tattoo anyway. The LA Ink experience was just that, an experience. I paid half the amount that they quoted me for the tattoo (which is a big deal in itself), I met some great people and I have a really beautiful tattoo.
I have been on Television dozens of times; it's really no big deal. As for performing magic for free, I have no problem with that at all; I love what I do. Yes it would sound odd for someone to ask a dentist or painter to "Show me something" when you learn about their profession, but magic is unique. I can name several examples where I performed a magic effect or two which evolved into high paid gigs. |

Okay, cool with that. Different strokes for different folks. But what about the Kat, did you get the chance to see her up close?

I met everyone else though and towards the end of the day I was chatting it up with Corey and Orby in the production area about Harry Houdini and the latest book about him. |

Cool. Did you get to hear any juicy gossip? especially about Miami Ink, Ami? How long does it take them to film a complete eppisode?

I was not privy to any gossip as it was pretty much business first.
My segment was shot January 8th. I think the episode airing next week reflects mid-February events. |

Too bad you didn't get to meet Kat. Might've been fun.

Glad to hear that all is well. What effects did you perform for the show? How did the cast and crew react?

When George Anderson walked through the door of our tattoo shop, our attention was immediately captured by his presence. Aside from his appearance being that of a modern-day wizard, he mesmerized us with his magic-bending forks, melting coins, and mangling metal objects right before our eyes by merely staring at them. |
