Question... what would be a sinister book mark? Besides a red ribbon... Anyone have an idea how to convert a nice 1880s coin into a sinister bookmark? Dr Spektor - how about a coin shell, probably the larger the better and glued to the top inside of the shell is a thin compact fabric, that when unfolded will make a strip and also hide the coin. The fabic itself can be stained with blood - red stain - or marked with mystic symbols or both. - Stefan Dardik |

A penny dated 1888 or perhaps a hapenny , tu[pence or thrupence that the victims would have carried- it was that lack of payment for a room that led to some unfortunate incidents. Maybe tie the coin into stopping an event. Maybe the coin finds the perpetrator- Random thoughts from an amateur Ripperologist.

Ouch! Sorry, as much as I like comedy - this book won't treat the subject matter lightly - however, if anyone wants to write an essay on attempting to use comedy and horror - that would be good... I have no time... but a classic example is the Kolchak formula of horror punctuated by humour during the "safe" scenes...
OK, anyone also have a source for buying bulk 1880s penny farthings ???

I was under the impression that a poster here was looking into making some 1888 farthings available to us; but I have heard nothing further concerning it

A remarkable collaboration! Nothing quite like this in the realm of magic. The best bizarre minds on a single subject. This will be a classic!

More excellent news - I just received a personal letter from Dr. Sheils (yep, old style non-email.... fun!)... signed with his magic insignia we all love.... he gave me permission to use any work of his for this project... so TWILIGHT ZONULA is in as is anything else Jack related (I think there is a Spring Heel about... got to go through ye olde books)...
He did also say that we need some women contributors... things are unbalanced and that I should therefore start sawing some of the men in half ... love his dark humour!
