I just thought of one;

There was a Loony Toons short called "Duck Amuck."

For copyright purposes, this is only PART of it;

I would LOVE to go back to 1953 and watch this cartoon the first time it was shown. Not to watch the cartoon, but to watch the audience as they see this thing that demolishes the fourth wall for the first time.

To be fair I'm not sure if the 4th wall is demolished at all. That wall exists between the audience and the show. While he does talk to the animator in this part it is not the audience he addresses, at least in this clip.

There was a guy who performed with a cartoon. It was part of his touring show.

That's a point. The animator is the only one who talks directly to us.
However, the cartoon DOES demolish your sense of reality.
They remade it with Bugs being tormented by an unseen animator... it didn't works as well, the gags were too telegraphed and Bugs doesn't work so much as the put upon one. (Although the cartoon with him against a gremlin was epic.)

Doesn't Bugs turn out to be the animator in this one?

Didn’t want to give spoilers in case someone hadn’t seen it.

In watching Time Tunnel lately, I noticed that in one episode, Tony and Doug are caught in a cave-in so their clothes get all soiled. At that point, they get caught up in the time-vortex again. When they re-emerge from the time vortex, their clothes are all immaculately clean again! By golly I did not know that the Time Tunnel had a wash-and-rinse cycle.

Don't get me started on the TV physics of how Batman and Robin changed into their costumes while sliding down the batpoles. (What would happen if they accidentally slid down the wrong poles?)

As a kid, I always wondered that myself. I also wondered what would happen if Aunt Harriet found the poles and went down one.

Or why the Time Tunnel could never retrieve Tony and Doug, but had no trouble most weeks briefly retrieving random Roman soldiers, Civil War soldiers, and various other assorted historical bystanders.

Not to be confused with Leonard Nimoy in the show “In Search of...”?

No. Neither did Dr Smith, Will, or the Robot.

The mission control set from Lost in Space looked similar to other shows - so they too might intercut. Smile In Search of TV show intertextuality and the hidden narrative. hahaha

The Batman TV show worked as campy. https://scifi.stackexchange.com/question......bat-pole Smile

Along those lines, Jonathan--didn't Nimoy's In Search Of have at least one episode about Time-travel? I know Nimoy had one episode on Reincarnation. But not sure about the time travel so I'm asking.

Yes, here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rh1TCgm_nKs

Editing together old TV shows to make different stories is not a thing, yet. Smile

What would time travel look like if you were holding a camera and went somewhen and then back a moment later? - or before?

Tomorrow I thought that time travel was impossible, but then yesterday I changed my mind.

There was a "Nova" episode called "It's About Time" that dealt with time travel and it's various ramifications.

They had Isaac Asimov there, as himself, talking about time travel paradox.

What I thought was funny, was that they introduced Isaac by showing him reading one of his own books on an airplane. Anyone who knows Isaac would know that he NEVER flew if he could avoid it and would certainly not be sitting on the plane having a casual conversation with someone over a science fiction concept.

Thanks for the Nimoy link,Jonathan.
By the way when you mentioned the camera idea-- don't you mean the movie Dimension Five starring Jeffrey Hunter?? Because I recall one scene where he uses the time control on his belt buckle to travel back just three minutes or so. Maybe you were thinking of that one subconsciously.
