Just a word of caution, over the years I have seen a few books published claiming to be guides to pyrotechnics for magicians.
From what I have seen these books they are a guide to disaster. I have seen techniques that would would make a fire marshall shut down a show whiteout a second thought, I have also seen so called formulas for compounds that just will not work (this was a Mikey Hades book). I recently saw another book in a magic shop that was full of bad information. Before any one starts using Pyro get some training, you may also have to get a license depending on where you live. If you are in California, good luck, I may take you years to qualify for a license |

Not sure if it's still in print, but I still have my (really old) copy of "How to Make Flashes, Bangs, and Puffs of Smoke" by, wait for it....
Micky Hades It was published by Micky Hades International in Canada, and has a typed ISBN of 919230-65-2 Not sure if you can still find it around, but it has some good stuff in there...
