Lol I can't believe that they brought this back... I'll admit that I grew up watching it. Hell, I remember reenacting the "Assault" game as a kid with my brother and nerf guns lol. But they have screwed up the Assault and the Eliminator this time around, way to go lol. And hearing Hulk say "Brother" multiples times in every sentence is kind of annoying heh.
I recognize one of the Gladiators from a past gladiator-esk show called Battle Dome though lol.

I think the show is fun. Titan was the guy you remember from Battle Dome. They have yet to play the game Power Ball . (I think it's called that) . I do believe I saw a preview for the upcoming shows and it looks like they play it.
My favortie Gladiators are Fury and Helga lol |

No, I've seen them play powerball.
Did the hand bike on the Eliminator become harder or something? I remember people use to fly through that back in the day. Now they all seem to struggle. And seeing as there is no penatly for falling off of it, I don't see why they all don't just skip it. In the old version Gladiators held you back for 7 seconds if you fell from the handbike.

Another show to be glad I'm working the night it's on. This is the 3rd time this show has been brought back to live. The first time it was on was fine the past reincarnation as well as this one was not good at all. Why Hogan as the host of the show. Hogan has always been over rated. A grain of sand has better acting abillity then Hogan could ever wish or hope for.

I don't like the fact that the contestants don't get penalized for falling off an obstacle. I also don't like the lack of mullets.

Somehow, I was never into American Gladiator. I have to imagine it's made a come back because of the strength of G4's "Ninja Warrior" (which is NOT called that in Japan.)

Oh man - I'll never forget, being about 19 years old, up at 3am, in an altered state of consciousness, and American Gladiators showed up on my UK television. I'd never seen anything like it.
To make it even more entertaining, the assault course finale was a photo finish. I became hooked, but when the British version manifested itself, it lacked the attitude. Still, it was good for a lazy saturday evening. As for Ninja Warrior. Sounds interesting.

They have one of the same obstacles on american gladiators as they do on ninja warriors. It's the rolling log thing where the contestant has to hold onto a giant tube as it rolls down a ramp. It's in the eliminator on american gladiotor and usually the second or third item in stage one of ninja warrior.

Ninja Warrior to me is way better than this new American Gladiator. I can watch Ninja Warrior all the time. AG just got a bit boring with the introing the people and...hulk hogan

Looks like the networks are digging-in, re: the writer's strike...
The guy "Wolf" looks like quite a character... None of the girl gladiators look all that interesting, though. Maybe the 7 foot blonde... Who knows.

Yeah Crush and Hellga are the only female Gladiators that don't appear generic heh.
