Looking for a heavy metal 5" ring for a ring and rope routine.
I currently use the 5" ring from the Royal 5" linking ring set which is very thin with a solder that is not smooth. |

Go to a weld shop they will make any size for you and and any thickness 5/16 to 3/8 is the best

Hi, perhaps not the exact size you are looking for,
but probably practical for many ring-rope routines: http://www.berkeleypoint.com/products/ha......ing.html Best of luck, Walt |

This is what I use. Not exactly 5 inches, but a beautiful brass ring:

Funny, I was looking for the exact same thing today. I just went to the hardware store and got a chrome ring for $2.50

Thanx for the replies.
I currently have the 3.75" heavy brass ring but its a bit too small for liking. I will try the hardware stores though! |

MagicMan1957,
I spend quite a bit of time on the road and have visited hardware and tack stores up and down the state of California and 3.75 is as big as I've found in a seamless brass or chromed ring! I have a buddy that is a jam up welder and metal worker that I'm going to have him make up some nice stainless steel rings in 4 and 5 inches and if I can find the stock in brass I'll do the same! I'll let ya know! Mick |

I spent most of the morning looking for a ring for the same purpose. I know I've seen plastic rings the right size in craft departments before, for use with knitting or some cloth craft like that, and even wooden ones in the art and craft section of Walmart, but couldn't find anything even close today. I also tried looking in toys for a ring toss game or something like that. I even looked in the bathroom fixtures section for a hand towel ring to no avail. It seems to me that they used to use them for purse handles at one time too.
I am going to try a Lowes later today, but I am not sure of my chances. You wouldn't think a plastic ring would be so hard to locate.

I too once try to find a single 5 inch metal ring about 1-2 years ago. I had no luck. Michael's has a ring about the same size bt it is very thin.

You're such a life saver AL!
I noticed the search feature is working now, so that'll help not having to re-ask similar questions. I did find a steel ring at a Lowe's, but it was a bit small for some of the work Aldo Colombini does on the video I'm working on. I'll be ordering a more appropriate size from your source. Thanks again Al Rick (Habu) Jackson
