I need some feedback...
First off...check this out. I wanted a logo so this is what I came up with. What do you think? http://youtube.com/watch?v=eqAOqOcsbbc I just wanted something quick and streamlined that was simple...nothing overpowering. I can also use it on my website, biz cards, postcards, etc. Let me know if you like/hate it. Here's some other stuff: Ring Routine: http://youtube.com/watch?v=7I2pgIXqyWs Card Magic: http://youtube.com/watch?v=_UPeZX_X934 Card Magic 2: http://youtube.com/watch?v=67XxVXl5kZw Card Magic 3: http://youtube.com/watch?v=k6HvyHMUy54 Card Magic 4: http://youtube.com/watch?v=dgjwHEphPqE Your comments GOOD/BAD would be appreciated.

For "Card Magic" ( Truimph ), I always found that spreading the deck too fast confuses the spectator. Spread it slowly, and it will make the eyes of the spectators go like *.......what the ...*, unless going slow is against your style ( comedy people tend to go fast, haha ).
For "Card Magic 2", the first procduction of the first ace needs some tweaking, you need to do the move a little bit faster, as I felt there is some delay between cutting the deck and doing the move. To see a good one, check the preview of John Bannon's Smoke and Mirrors DVD in http://www.mymagic.com For "Card Magic 3" ( Invisible Palm ), I have four points. First, you convince them soo much ( *I'll use 2, only two cards on the table, leaving two in my hands*, *I have the dimonds and spades* .. etc, only state this briefly, as people can see that, and they won't memorize which ace you have or your dealing with anyway ). Second point is, cards don't need to be in a perfect postion when layed on the table. The trick is to learn a good way to table a double, which this thread will help you find: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=164697&forum=2&37. Third point, is the last vanish. I have my reasons to hate using the deck in the routine, but anyway, You might find this thread intresting: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......rum=2&15 Fourth point is the tent vanish, which you missed one of its finer points, which is showing the corner. Watch this video by Michael Vincent: http://youtube.com/watch?v=AD38r0DYZl4 As for Card Magic 4 and Ring routine, I never performed them or practiced them, so I can't really say anything about them. I loved them both though. that's for the technical points, as for the gags and showsmanship, you were awesome man! ~ Feras |

Thanks Pal...I agree totally...except for the part about using the deck to vanish the card in the IP routine. I have never found a finish to the routine from ANYONE that I like. I think it's pretty sweet my idea of doing an Erdnase Color Change as a VANISH. I've NEVER seen anyone do it like that before. Just an idea I had on the fly during the shoot and I ran with it.
That being said...I think my IP routine that I put up really sucks and I plan to reshoot it later this week as I think your points are valid (as I caught that stuff too). Thanks for the feedback! I'll check out the references you mentioned!

Chris,
Thanks for the posts. The logo is good, and I like your magic. You have a lighthearted, non-challenging presentational style which I think suits you very well. You make it look effortless and entertaining. Good stuff, bro! Ron

The only thing I can make a comment on because I know a better way to do it is the reveal on the Invisible Palm. It looks too suspicious to slide your hand over to reveal the card. Instead, place the side of your hand (pinky finger side) on the side of the card and as you rotate your palm down, the cards will slide apart. This is practically invisible, and looks uber clean. I learned it this way from Tyler Wilson in his book Dominatricks in Paul Mase's Trick, which is an excellent Invisible Plot routine using aces of a different colored back than the deck.
Also, do you film your videos and then dub over them with patter? They sound very professional. |

Chris,
I watched the Rings. Is this for a promo dvd? If so I love the talk over with the announcement sounds real professional. But, when you come up it looks like you are in a living room with a little stage you put together. All the moves are fine but with that kind of intro I was expecting to see you on a stage some where. With that kind of intro if this is supposed to be used for your promo you need to shoot it some where else with more room. Your Rings almost take up your whole spot. That set up would better for close-up demostration. Again, good stuff just filmed in the wrong place. Bairefoot |

Magikrn,
Yes...I film the video and then go in and remove the soundtrack and then redub the audio in post production. I think it sounds better that way...AND if I screw up my patter in the shoot...it doesn't matter!!! = ) Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it!

Bairefoot,
My pre-recorded intro is NOT a good idea for You Tube (or my website) as I quickly found out. It's how I'm intro'd when performing live...set's the tone to my show. But for a demo...not so good!!! It wasn't shot in my living room...but was in my garage with my backdrop set up. Not much room in there to shoot as you see. Round two on the Ring Routine will be FAR BETTER!!! = ) Thanks for your feedback! =)

The intro was very cool, but there wasnt anything that made me feel like I was on the edge of my seat, your ring act is very nice but there really needs to be more excitement so think about it.
