The Trickery has good quality items and some original exclusives. However I tend to buy from Hank Lee, Hocus Pocus, and Daytona, where they have an even better selection and frequent 20-25 percent off sales, and MJM and Madhatter, where they have frequent discounts (at MJM you get a 10 percent lifetime discount code and they have great service and free shipping). To me those are the best value dealers. For quality, Trickery, Elmwood, Viking, Wolf's Magic are great, but also pricey.

Once you get used to their "bidding" methods, you can pick up some bargains. |

Believe it or not, eBay is not a bad place to buy. Recently, I've also purchased from sellers I've found here in the "Let's Make a (Magic" Deal" section.
For general online purchases though, MJMMAGIC and WILLIAMSMAGIC are great. Both match pricing including shipping, and are very reputable...

I like thetrickery. I got a mini chop cup (goblet) from them. The owner was stunned because he hadn't put out ads for the piece yet but I told him I'd seen a reveiw in Genii and wanted the piece! He was happy.

I think the best deals are from Hank Lee's, Hocus Pocus, and Daytona Magic when these larger stores have 20-25 percent off sales.

One Probelm with dealing with the discount magic companies(at least I am having problems with one of them) is they messs up you orders. My last order had several mistakes: Charged the wrong price for 2 items, one item was the wrong thing, and one item was not even in the box. I am still trying to resolve this.
I sent back the wrong item at my expence($15 postage) and they sent another wrong item I can't use! And they said the missing item was put in the box, although it was not there! They still have not sent it! I am looking for a new favorite magic dealer, (I think I found one), that will give me personal help and send me the right items! you will save more in the long run! I'm still out almost $400! I'm giving them one more week, and will contact my credit card company. ACE

I've started dealing with Williams magic lately, and Emory answers my emails quickly, and the first thing I ordered got here in 2 days!
Seems like a winner to me! ACE

Emory also inflates his prices to compensate for the "free shipping" he offers.

This is not as bad as what daytona does, it would take a book to list the mess-ups on orders, sending the wrong items more than once, I am paying a fortune sending them back, and they charge me a 15% restocking fee and postage again, last time they charged $7.95 postage for a silk that had a 75 cent stamp on the envelope when I got it, I could go on and on, and Harry on the phone will not listen, just tries to sell you stuff you don't need, they NEVER answer my emails. They back order stuff, and you pay the postage all over again, and they just charge your card 'cause they have it on file, a minumum $10.00 charge, even when postage is $8.50, when they are out of stock, they charge you, and then give you a store credit, and then you have to pay inflated shipping charges all over agian... I'd rather pay a few cents more to get exactly what I want correctly and on time, ACE

I actually like http://www.magicproshop.com. I have had great success with them. Their shipping costs are low and usually arrive very quickly! The thing I like the best is if an item is out of stock, it actually says that on their site. I stopped ordering from Hank Lee because every time I place an order, items are missing and there is a hand written note on the invoice that says "will ship in 2 weeks". I am actually still waiting on an item that was shipped on May 13th and they said they would ship in 2 weeks. This has happened a lot and I have waited over 3 months for items in the past.
Anyone else have this problem?
