Hey all. I am not sure if this have ever been done here before or if anyone even wanted to do this before. hehe However, I thought it might be interesting, fun and a way to learn as well to think more creatively with the kid's magic that we perform and create. The idea here is to learn to work as a group to brainstorm ideas and through the process, learn as well.

Here is what I intend to do. I will start with a common kid show prop and then add in the first line or bits of business in what is the start of a routine. (the full routine to be developed by all of us over the course of the thread.)

The next person to post must then take the last post idea and expand upon it adding there own small bit of business to the routine and the next line in the story or patter. Do not add too much, just the next part of the routine and patter.

You may add props into the routine if you so desire. I think this could be really funny, enjoyable and a way to see how creative we can be and brainstorm as a group. I feel there is power of creativity with the more creative people you get around you. Let us see what we can create. Keep in mind this is a routine for children.

Routine Prop: Basic Stratosphere
Routine Patter Start: "Hi Boys and girls let me tell you a story. A story about a funny man with a funny job...."

Ok the next post should expand on this idea with the next line of the patter and what is happening with the prop and/or inclusion of another prop (if so desired). Have fun with this guys.

The funny man was named Thomas Wright. Thomas Wright worked on Traffic Lights... He worked on then in the daytime, and he worked on them at night!

Great Lyndel!!!! Off to an awesome and creative start here. Remember also that you are to state not only the patter but what the magician is actually doing with the prop as well. You can also add in any props to the routine if you want to.

Great start folks. Who wants to build from where Lyndel left off. let us see what we can make of this and what can be created by people working together.

The traffic lights were even funnier than Thomas Wright himself. They were all the wrong colours.(show a purple, white and pink sphere).
"Yes, Virginia, there really are people named Riddle...isn't that AMAZING! And to think of all the royalties I'm missing out on! SCANDALOUS!"

Thomas noticed the colors were all wrong in his traffic light. But perhaps the kids might help him to get them all right. (hold up the Purple ball and look confused as you look out at the children).

Hey everybody, I need your help.(this set of spheres is made of latex) (Taking the purple sphere and place it into a paper bag and ask) What color should the top light be? (After they say red, you produce the red ball and crush the bag ala Nielson bottle)

Let me see here, said Thomas. The Purple ball that must be the right color to make everyone stop. Right? (said to the boys and girls to get them to respond back. Act suprised when they state it is not.) Well what color should it be? (asked to the children as they respond back red). You guys are good.

Jello er yellow?

No (the kids shout) RED.

You..you don't have to jell er yell.

I have ADHD tendencies..sometimes my brain needs a RED light....

My wife calls it Attention deficit husband disorder...

Sometimes just slowing down and being careful helps...What color is that...?
