Hi!
I absolutely love David Stone his coin routine: Cocoon.
I am sure a lot of you guys will know it but here is a little description.
You display one coin, 3 are classic palmed.
You make the coin rise up from one hand to another then you make it dissapear on the table and it reapears on your arm. When you look back at the table there are now 3 coins + the one you already had.
You need to be able to release classic palmed coins one by one.

Now my problem is, this makes a noise when they land on the table.
Does anyone have any advice on that? Or does the audience actually care?

That would be very helpfull.

A close up mat will solve all your troubles....

If one isn't readily available, just get the hand as close to working surface as possible and hope that your patter covers the clinks.....

You may also wish to use a napkin...if you are working in a dinner setting. If in a bar atmosphere a paper napkin will work will.

You don't have to call attention to the napkin before you start...just position it so that when you need to do the deed it is in the correct place.

Also keep in mind that there may in fact be enough back ground noise to cover the noise that you are worried about.

Hope this helps and that you have a blast working with this routine!

Hey thanks everybody for your help!
I tested the routine a bit today and it really made clink sounds but they seemed to just don't care!
Does anyone else have this?

My coin work started in the 70's began with the classic palm...

David has some interesting ideas...

The Champagne Act (a past FISM award winning act) has another take with coins produced as a single card is turned over..close up mat or rug recomended there as well.
