I really can't speak highly enough of this book. Whilst on the way up to Birmingham for a lecture, I was reading through this book, and just the first two effects, I showed to my friend Gary Jones, and he said they alone were worth the price of the book! They are sensational! Jack really has had a HUGE impact on modern day card Magic, and has some breath taking routines and subtleties that make it a real shame that he passed. Imagine if he was still alive today, what else incredible would be coming from that amazing Magical mind of his. The production value is amazing as well, Andi really knows how a book should be written, and produced, something some books on the market today lack. This isn't just a collection of effects, this is a Legacy of one of the best creators I have seen in Card Magic EVER!

I got my copy of 52 Memories yesterday (friday) in the mail (wow, that was fast Andi!).
I got a pleasant surprise when I opened the packet. The book is GORGEOUS to behold, it's physichal form is a pice of art. Andi has outdone himself this time. It's one of the nicest books I seen in a long, long time (and I havent started to read it yet). This big and beautiful book consists of 227 pages. Written by Andi Gladwin Illustrated by Tony Dunn 9 Chapters 51 Effects and moves (there is also a ring effect included!) Plus an essay by Jack in chaper 9: Inspiration, Perseption and Astonishment Jackanory - Andi's thoughts how this book came to be and his friendship with Jack. A bibliography - Tricks and moves up to the publicaton of this book. A set-up reference for each effect in the book. Well written and produced. I give it a 10 of 10. Higly recomended. I'm certain that 52 Memories will be one of the most voted book's for the Best Book 2008 Award. Peo

My copy should be showing up sometime soon, since I pre-ordered the day it was announced. Really enjoyed what I have seen of Jack's stuff and can't think of a better way to honor him.

RevJohn, we (H & R Magic Books) are doing the order fulfillment of USA orders from Andi of Jack Parker's 52 Memories. We have shipped about a third of the pre-orders already, proceeding in the order received. I don't believe we have shipped yours yet, but don't blame Andi for any delay. I have been called out of town on a family emergency, so won't be able to pick up shipping until next Wednesday. Hope to have all the USA pre-orders in the mail via priority mail flat rate box by the end of next week. Any that we have an email address for (those in our own database!) gets a notification of the shipping information when we ship. We know everyone is anxious to get this magnificent book quickly, and apologize for any delay. It will prove worth the wait!

Wow - thanks to everyone for such kind and positive comments!
Also, thanks to Richard and the guys at H&R who have been working through a MASSIVE amount of orders. I've had someone from the UK sending out books for at least five hours a day for the last week and a half. I've received twice as many orders for the US as I have from Europe, so Richard and his team are working incredibly well and super efficiently. --Andi

As I perform almost exclusively in the hands, can someone please tell me approximately what fraction of the book could be performed in the hands? I thought Mr. Parker's Set to Stun and Set to Kill (bless his soul) were wonderful, but I couldn't perform any of the effects in it, which saddened me greatly.

Now that I have had a chance to look through it, even better.
I like Jack's thinking. I especially found Jack's comments in the front of the book to be very touching. John |
