Hello all,
I am sure this migh have been discussed in the past - but I am hoping for a quick bit of help. I use Frontpage to do all my web stuff - for about 5 years. I hand code it all. I am tired of this and see so many of my friends put up a site in a few hours. I need to start using templates and drop and drag for the simple projects. I have searched the web and found some decent ones like homstead.com and a few others. Some are free and some charge - and I don't mind paying as long as it's good! Some are design/hoting/ftp/domain registration all in one which is nice but not nessacary for a recomendation. Let me know your thoughts on an easy drop and drag 5 page website style maker. Thanks! Well, I would highly recommend doing it by hand. Becuase if you use software, sometimes it inserts certain code of its own and some web browsers don't configure it right.

I recommend content management systems such as Joomla, they are fairly easy to edit, customize and have plenty of options for your needs. Dreamweaver is good as well.

I use Nvu (which is now Kompozer). It is free and you can find it online with a simple search. You don't need to learn HTML (although that's not a bad idea)and it has some decent features, and is very easy to use.

Norden,
For the most part, I use Photoshop & Dreamweaver, and have done so for years, but (tongue now planted firmly in cheek) I was just asking for magic advice over at a Web design forum, and they suggested using fishing line for my I-Thread work, because it's so strong. (Tongue now back in standard position) I would suggest checking other online places for reviews and opinions as well. Good luck!
