Actually, you were told in the ticket Tom that your particular order went out Wed (yesterday). Nothing went out Friday, as official release was after hours. Office is closes on Sat & Sun. Starting Monday, orders were sent in order they came in. Everything is out from the intial release, so I would assume people will be getting them anytime. Hope that helps.

I got mine yesterday and watched it last night...
The restoration is very clean and looks great but its too much setup for me. The clean up also is not to my liking. I am sure there will be many that will like and use this version. I have pretty much all the T&R effects and IMO Garcia's Torn or Yves Doumergue's Ripped & Restored are still the best ones out there. |

Very true, some will like it and others will not. Having seen all of them, as you've noted, I have my likes and dislikes too. For me, the setup isn't a big deal given the result. And Jordan's already developed new handlings to share on the forum so you don't have to go back to the deck, which was one of Danny Garcia's concerns he shared with me. Danny's Torn is, in my view, one of the best every developed and is hard to beat when you want something impromptu. Hands down. I'm looking forward to seeing how things develop using the basic methods provided in Holy Grail... my guess is artists like you will come up with some fantastic things using HG as a springboard. Best, JC

I got the Holy Grail and I am not that crazy for it. It turned out more then I want to handle to do any effect.. But some may like it, for me I love things I can do right on the spot anytime any place without preparing, this is not that type of trick.
sorry if this lets anyone down... |

I think I'll stick with the Reformation. IMHO, if handling refinements are still being made then he did not test this effect enough in the REAL world.
Reformation, Torn and TNR are better than the Holy Grail..... |

Nice effect that looks very magical. The preparation, however, is way too difficult (for me at least) and not worth the effort involved. It takes a bit of skill to make the gimmick successfully. After 5 attempts and more time than I wanted to spend on preparation, I have given up.
This is not to say that the product is at fault. For those who are skilled in the techniques involved with preparation and willing to invest the time for practice, this is certainly a worthy product. Just not my cup of tea. |

Thanks for the quick reviews.

He more than tested it, and it works just fine Frank. I'm sort of confused, do you have this yet? Either way, with all effects, you come up with new ideas, concepts, et cetra as you continue to play with it over the lifetime of an effect. You should know that given all the heat you took with your pick a card effect.
By the way, what's going on with that? That was a storm in a half. And your signature line says it is still coming out. In this case, Danny Garcia mentioned to me on the phone that he thought the card going back to the deck was a step backwards. I trust Danny and value his views and ideas very much; he is incredibly tallented and I consider him a friend. So I took his suggestions to heart and challenged Jordan to come up with a new handling, and he did. So, no more going back to the deck if you don't want to. That information is on a password protected forum for those who purchased HG. At the end of the day, I know pros who change things to a new way of doing something they've done for 20 years, just because it makes sense. So I don't know if I would say the others are "better", so much as each has attributes that are of value given the situation and needs of the performer, amoung other things. HG is far from a poor effect. In fact, visually, it is rather striking. But some people just aren't interested in having to put the time in. It's a microwave culture. Martello, I certainly understand your views and you are right. Firstly, you state that it looks very magicical, and that is the crux of the situation. You then share that it is worthly if someone is willing to invest the time in practice and setup. Also a very good point. Depending upon one's cirucmstances, doing any prep work can be a pain. But for others, it is well worth the results. At 19, Jordan can knock out cards in no time ready to roll for the next performance. I've sat with him when he buzzed right though it. For me, I'm pretty busy and I've not yet mastered the technique. But in time, I'll get it down because I love the effect. It just depends on the person. As in all things, some will love it and others will not. As of yet though, we've not had a bad review. So that's refreshing. Personally, I think Jordan did a great job and the responses we are getting by email are pretty encouraging. Good news is this is not the last you've seen of Jordan. He's in the studio with me and Chris Brown next week. We've got a lot more in store from this guy! Thanks everyone, JC |
