I want to add the Rabbit in the Hat to my show. Could anyone suggest who has the nicest out there?

Well, it's not in a hat, but if it's quality you seek, you might consider a full body rabbit from Axtell: http://www.axtell.com/rabbit.html

The Axtell rabbit is a great puppet, but not what I'm looking for at this time. It doesn't fit into my case or my budget.

You might check with David Ginn in Atlanta. I think he has one that he sells and also uses in his children's magic shows.

Lyndel,
That one looks really good for a puppet. Might look into that one!

I have the two main ones and posted a comparison of them some time back. Andy the aussie did as well. Do a search on my name to find it.

There is also one put out by a local friend John Domalewski and it is a really nice rabbit in the hat puppet. I think his website is:
http://www.rabbitinmyhat.com He has images and pictures on the site for you to look at. Kyle

Samuel Patrick Smith has one that he uses and sells as Puff the Magic Rabbit. I got it for Christmas and it is great and his routine is great too. But of course, I'll be using my own original routine. But anyways, here is the link: http://www.spsmagic.com/products.asp?product_id=t061

Thank for all of the info and suggestions. Based on the information that I got off Tod's posts, I ordered from One Way Street. The price is right, and I liked the way it looks. Much appreciated ..... jake

One Way Street sells an excellent Rabbit in Hat puppet. The Rabbit that Riz sells is scary looking, IMHO.

Too many magicians have the rabbit and top hat sold in magic shops and feel they have to stick with the top hat presentation, which is really very restrictive. My article entitled "Silent Partner" in The Wizards' Journal #15 gives you excerpts from Frances Ireland Marshall's routine in which she tosses the hat out completely and frees the rabbit to roam about. But for that you need a rabbit puppet that is not sewn to the hat.

The BIG RIH is nice but you can't manipulate him like the smaller one's.
But you can keep a ton of stuff in that BIG hat. Sammy Smiths RIH is nice but kind of small. I believe the one that Dennis Michael gave a link to is a "Robert the Rabbit" from Magic Masters cut in half. (I have it and would not recommend it). I got it years ago from Tannens and I think it called "Charles out of my Hat" I do have the full sized Robert the Rabbit from Magic Masters and he is a riot the way his feet wiggle when you manipulate him. I like Dave Risley's rabbit the most. It a little bit larger than Sammy Smiths RIH. But were all going to buy Axtells RIH when he come out with it. ~Just my .02 - Nez

I will speak up for Dave Risley's ... not only is the puppet easy to use, his routine
is brilliant! It totally rocks. --Jack

I agree with Kyle. The rabbit in the hat puppet made by John Domalewski which he hand crafts individually for you is the nicest one on the market. It is adorable and children just seem to love it.
